  2. Last night Clandon/Ripley area Chased after a 4x4 with trailer last night 12.30ish that was sus, originally thought pinched a trailer of neighbour but turned out was picking up a nicked quad as it was found layed up at the side of the road this morning. Details gfd police station.
  3. Just wondered if anyone has the above with ring tow hitch that would be interested in pulling a trailer back to Guildford at weekend latest Sunday? For a bit of cash.....
  4. Back in the very early 90's I worked for an agency @ Lambeth , Woking, Dagenham etc all over but it was for LA's . The LA's paid roughly £12 an hour and it was split £6 for me and £6 for the agency... They could afford to pay that as it was cheaper for temp staff than having them on the books and use people when needed. Good money for the agency and flexibility for the LA the good thing for me was that a Irish pub locally to the agency would cash the cheque ! but not the best money for the worker but kept you busy..Then temp workers never had any rights but has that not changed ? As mentioned if you have a good relationship with freelancers in your area they will move things around to help back scratching and all that. Things can be moved forward and rearranged its a thing called communication! I have to be flexible and sometimes move a job especially if an emergency arises and that fact my customers understand. Maybe with all the cuts LA will become your bread and butter, maybe not maybe you will be able to retire or run your company from a laptop on a beach in Bermuda or maybe end up with egg on your face........who knows we all take chances and follow our ideas dreams and goals All I will say is good luck mate you don't know untill you try
  5. Relevant then as it is now and will always be !
  6. How pretty is the wife ?
  7. There was a thread earlier on doing a deal for £80.00 have a look through the post search.
  8. I haven't got oval carib so the clip allows more room for the eye to eye fc to snug in the carib and apart from not having more holes in the hitch climber pulley to fix in the end of my line its the same as a hc........? or am I being thick...... Nonetheless without the sheafed extension etc the line always had to be tended anyway but with extension and cord it does the job a treat without fatigue/pausing . If I took away chord ,sheaf ,clip and red carib and put end of line on green carib and pulley it would be a hc, then I would be back to square one tending my line This way with one clip of the green carib I am either in normal / ascending mode etc with never an unattached line. or worry about a rope bridge recall so it aint that messy or is it lol started off working from both ends of the rope with a prussic tied off the tail so always been happy to change , just find this works Happy to be slated though
  9. Tommy-B The cord pulls the micro pulley chasing up the hitch tending the slack so I don't have to pull through the slack thus enabling arm over arm ascent without the pause or the need of groundy tending. The sleeved part stays connected its just the green carib that shorten's or extends that part. So If i didn't have the chord I would still be able to arm over arm under the hitch but would have to pause to tend...... I hope that makes sense?
  10. This works for me simple ,only have to pull chord down or up and undo the green gate to ascend/branch walk in etc But I guess that's what some of you are using/mean..?
  11. Big four0 in a couple of weeks...... might just wait then before i vote

  14. The knives should clear the shear bar by 3mm, make sure you have a manly torque wrench though as if you are adjusting the gap you have to torque to 270 Nm. The shear bar can be turned around as it does have two edges while your at it the roller gap can be wedged open through crap being wedge below the bottom roller this can be accessed from a plate below and will help gripping and dragging brush in. Apart from that I know nuffing...
  15. Was told a similar thing about classic RR. Break the electric wing mirrors off and you can cross wires and then gain access but that may be a load of tosh as well !
  16. Zeroluke They are great little boats, always remember pushing them to the limits ,sticking the sail in the drink and then rolling over on the dagger board and righting them without getting wet ! Wet suits ! you must have been posh lol
  17. Funnily enough I took a tree down the other week for a chap who taught me how to sail in a topper when I was about ten on reservoirs, then out of the Thames sailing club. Sailed around the Baleric Islands, Ibiza Menorca Formentera on a 55 footer, spent a lot of time sailing out of the Hamble and The longest was 6 weeks getting a cat ready in Miami with mates testing it around Bimini and the Islands before sailing down to Key West past Cuba and finally ending up in Mexico.. When I lived in the black mountains spent my spare time kayaking on the wye and loved just ambling along..... Would love to go canoeing in Canada in the fall but I would like to do a lot of things
  18. The only way you can stop traffic legally apart from stop /go And lights is with a stop works Sign ( similar to lolly pop lady ). You can stop by your hand but if this is ignored as motorist tend to do and an accident happens ,well then the fun would Begin.
