  1. had a nice fire today no chance of running though it's in a foot of water !
  2. I have some coppice work this year which will include ash , and is is to be taken of site . I was told if ash die back is found in the wood no timber will be allowed of site , from fc , a rumour i hope
  3. how do you use the chain brake with the side cover removed ? the trouble with using the saw brake is all the stress is on the saw and the parts leading to the saw , the winch brake is holding the drum with the wire on it end of .

  7. the bungie cord is to keep the brake on , i use a new 365xp on the winch i find that is powerfull enough start getting bigger and things start to brake and wear to quike
  8. good winch a bit finiky in its ways but once masterd will serve well:thumbup1: I have a saw on it all the time and it does not take up much room ,as you can see it is mounted both ways butt hook or sling , i find the butt hook gives you more controll and keeps it out of the dirt
  9. my lad loves it get them involved early only on the simple tasks , hopfully when he is bigger he will start on the grown up stuff:thumbup:

  11. thats the trouble with hired in , the boxer is a controled cut and i keep it nice and slow like using a pair of securters and the best is it is kept sharp, you could shave with it
  12. has the saw got dawgs on it , as this will give you more grip and leverage

  15. 14,000 k it was only 10k at the APF , show offer , 14 k i would not give em 5 k for that it was a fred carno special , it was just lumps off of the shelf metal bolted together IRON HORSE RULE ,
  16. See that at the APF im sure he said £ 10 k i would not give him 2k i thought it was a heap of poo my opinion as i am a iron horse fan
  17. tracked pred £ 75 hour min 1 hour all day on site £ 400 did it by the inch for years and it did not work out . 8 inch stump £ 4.50 inch £ 36.00 no more of that .
