  1. They're great and as others have said, well made and much nicer go wear in super hot weather. All my mates who have been climbing in Oz and NZ swear by them too
  2. Bump. Video was recommended in YouTube algorithm so thought this thread was worth reviving!
  3. Sirius Bull rope is just Double braid C1 splice. The measurements that you've found from Teuflebeger are right, you don't need to change any of them if you want a smaller eye. Just make the eye marks smaller and do everything else the same and you're fine (Unless I'm not understanding the question)
  4. Cheers @Mark Bolam and @Joe Newton Fid length is consistent across all ropes as the fids get bigger as the ropes do. A rule of thumb is a short fid mark is 7 times rope diameter Long fid is 14 times rope diameter A full fid is 21 times rope diameter If you were doing 16mm rope, a short fid would be 112mm Full fid would be 336mm and so on. The marks are just there to save you having to do maths really
  5. Did noone else notice that he had his chainsaw chaps on back to front?😄
  6. Same reason you never see Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana in the same room
  7. In the programme they mentioned more than once that they were very clean and it was part of thier culture. Next minute the guy says "oh, there are some shits on the floor. Not sure if it dogs or the kids have been caught out" Hard to say they're a clean bunch when there is a bloke with his strimmer trousers round his ankles, crimping off a loaf onto the window of an L200 imo
  8. I watched it. My mind is made up. Not really sure how defendable their actions are when they break into his caravan and shit on his windscreen. Second episode is on All4 now. Neither episode will change my opinion
  9. I'll splice them for you, Just cover flights and board for a week. I've not bought the Mrs anything for Valentines yet so if you can get me there before Monday, that would be sweet
  10. Best hope you never go to Prison
  11. To make a ropeguide? You could buy the official ART one or get one custom spliced up
  12. Yes. You'll find that you probably just use a wire fid for everything if you have one though. The marks on the fid are just the measurements without you having to do the calculations yourself
  13. Last guy wants to have arms that permanently swing in different directions and a nodding head instead of all the money in the world and health. The big set up is that you expect him to come up with a reason for it and after all these years he is just a mental case who didn't think it through properly and is just a daft fukker flailing his arms around and nodding his head. Cracks me up that he says "I think I've fucked up" like its taken him years to decide. Made me chuckle anyway 😄
  14. Just out of interest, what is the watch?
  15. I've seen ones where the hole eye is covered. Will see if I can find a picture
  16. There is a good majority of the industry that can't use a rake properly so I'd say the likelihood of them using a crosscut saw is slim
  17. For the life of me, I cannot get my head round how a locking brummel with a cover is done. I need to see a video if anyone is keen to make one!!
  18. The Guilty of Treeson chap has a very good video about porting a 200t on YouTube for anyone interested
  19. One is 20 and the other is twenty too
  20. Very good! I like that! One is 20 and the other is 22
  21. What's the rope? All splices theoretically can pull out although in practice, it's only really straight buries on Hollow braid which are likely or rigging lines that have a loose cover, which is why they are lock stitched
  22. Turns out I'm at the age where I'm over the moon getting a Barbeque cover and Cardigan. Have a good day Arbtalk
