Little felling job, 7 pines felled one pruned. 2 men and the avant, about 5 hours. Nice bit of space to the side of the house, but phone line in the forest to mind. Rigging the top out of one leaning heavily over the house. Couldn't fell to the side as a phone line in the tree line. Last one to do after lunch (behind the main house. Knocking the tops out. Then ripped it over, avants winch redirected couldn't shift it, but the hilux could! saved having to rig the branches away over the roof and vent pipe. Stacked ready for collection Gone the next day!

I've no experience of either. But IMO if you want to be as desirable as possible to sub out, the bigger the capacity the better considering weight and size isn't really an issue. The 1000 hours is a little off putting compared to the 500, but I still think capacity would win it for me

You're single handily destroying arbrep's and Jensens credibility for me. Take a leaf out of the greenmech and timberwolfs excellent presence on the forum and be professional and helpfull cheeky banter is easily misinterpreted in written text

Nice chipper grey git, how much more efficient do you think you'll be? 3yr warranty is great for a hard working machine! They're obviously confident in it. Let's not forget the 230 tw has its problems and I've read some have been recalled....

Just get the mother in law to explain/book quotes in for when you get back then? When i had work done on the house one guy told me straight up that it'd be 3 weeks before he could come to look, it was fine for me as he was good at communicating/good reason.... he got the job in the end

You might be fully qualified after 28 days but itll take a few years under the wing of a good arborist before you're up to scratch IMO. Here (sweden) the HSE require you to have training suitable to the task no older than 5years, in the event of an accident they'll then look into the training you had to see if it was adequate, doesn't matter what country or language you took it in. It'd prob be easier to start a company with no experience or from scratch abroad rather than the UK as from my understanding/experience the UK has so much red tape/competition to contend with

I had a f reg mk 3, indestructible! Made a cage for the back for green waste. 2.4 non turbo was fine with a 750kg timberwolf chipper but struggled with the bigger JBM at over a ton. That was in relatively flat east Anglia

Full bike license (automatically gives you the lower classes: Might be slightly diffrent as its now a swedish license (shouldn't be as its EU and took tests in the uk) I believe a full car license entitles you to ride trikes, just like a full bike license entitles you to drive 3 wheeled cars, maybe they now have to clarify it clearer on the cards?

You want a quad with a solid rear axle with the hitch mounted on the axle if you're towing. If you have a quad with independent rear suspension, the hitch will be above the suspension so will pull the whole machine down when towing. Only used Honda formans, the older 450s and newer 500s

Ive got an extra filter, a band of material that wraps round the filter to stop this happening. This filter setup is far superior to stopping the real fine dust than the green filter that i had previously IME Ive an 880, 2003 model, brought 3rd hand in 2007. no problems what so ever. You might want to think about running either saw on Aspen from new, so many advantages including - better for your health, saws health and as milling IS hard on saws, if it does seize or the like, the dealer can't turn round and say "wrong fuel mix, not our problem"

Would be great with a grab! Handy bit of kit for the odd stem for taking to the yard to mill though? Seen one on eBay a few months back at 12 or 14k, saw that one in the original post is at 7k
