  1. Full bike license (automatically gives you the lower classes: Might be slightly diffrent as its now a swedish license (shouldn't be as its EU and took tests in the uk) I believe a full car license entitles you to ride trikes, just like a full bike license entitles you to drive 3 wheeled cars, maybe they now have to clarify it clearer on the cards?
  2. No, Code 79/3 restricts you to trikes
  3. Thats great! your previous post too. Are the planks biscuit jointed (don't know the proper term sorry!) lengthways too?
  4. You want a quad with a solid rear axle with the hitch mounted on the axle if you're towing. If you have a quad with independent rear suspension, the hitch will be above the suspension so will pull the whole machine down when towing. Only used Honda formans, the older 450s and newer 500s
  5. I Wonder how many of those who googled lumberjack, were actually after tree work? And how many were horny housewives and hipsters? Blog was a good read
  6. Ive got an extra filter, a band of material that wraps round the filter to stop this happening. This filter setup is far superior to stopping the real fine dust than the green filter that i had previously IME Ive an 880, 2003 model, brought 3rd hand in 2007. no problems what so ever. You might want to think about running either saw on Aspen from new, so many advantages including - better for your health, saws health and as milling IS hard on saws, if it does seize or the like, the dealer can't turn round and say "wrong fuel mix, not our problem"
  7. Are you undoing it clockwise or anti clockwise?
  8. Nice pics rich! Strange but as soon as I say that deep blue sky in the pics it was instantly recogniseable as Scandinavia!
  9. Would be great with a grab! Handy bit of kit for the odd stem for taking to the yard to mill though? Seen one on eBay a few months back at 12 or 14k, saw that one in the original post is at 7k
  10. Show off
  11. Media and social media is the new bible, the way of controlling the masses. Alquaida Isis and the like are about as good a represntation of Islamic and Muslim culture as the kkk is of Christianity. I stopped watching the news when I moved to sweden, all news outlets are biased one way or the other, the same goes for your article links I'm afraid. My world is a lovely place with my head burried in the sand try it tom, ignore all news, religion and opinions and enjoy your beautiful Cornwall. Turn your back on the biased world of media rather that be a sheep in one pen or the other
  12. Totally agree! its a fantastic little saw almost un-noticeable on the harness which is great on big prunes. Another saw Stihl got right imo! It has stepped unto the mark though when the oil pump on my 200 packed up doing some birch fellings.
  13. Some of todays, 5 addresses, found a football sized stone to grind free in one stump
  14. Or mention the war!
  15. If i feel like doing everything "properly" I have lanyard just above the blocks whoopee sling, and a pulleysaver choked tight to the stem precisely under the whoopee sling. That way when the blocks loaded its only the whoopee sling pinching the cambium saver, can still decent if needed whilst the riggings loaded and lanyard and life line are not at risk of getting cut at the same time
  16. I was heading for a husky 372, but got a Stihl 461 instead, 25"bar. very very glad i did too! Its a cracking saw, Stihl definatly got this one right
  17. The insulated copper pipe is simply plumbed into the tractors radiator, so some of the hot water bypasses the radiator and goes through the pipe heating your backside then back into the system
  18. Heated seats anyone?!
  19. Nice one Matty!
  20. Nice work rich and Aaron
  21. From a few weeks back And something for next year
  22. Awesome views! Where's that?
  23. If you're climbing it can be quite tricky to do a dogtooth style bore and release cut. Nothing wrong doing the cuts it sounds like he was doing if you have a sharp saw and experience to power through on the top cut. Difficult to say but id probably have done the same, maybe a thin gob, maybe not, probably taken the ears off quite deep too. wouldn't have stepped it though, probably tried to line up the cuts.
  24. Some great reply thanks. Size, access and weight isn't a problem Dean, I've got emails from both Stig and Jesper today giving some offers on their ex demonstrator "Bandit 2150xp 38 HK 4x4" i guess their just trying to get rid if all the big grinders are now hydraulic. what were the problems you had? what hp was your 2150 and 2550? how big an improvement is the 2550? thanks
