  6. Hi, My 460s being replaced after it had a little accident, if i could find a new 460 id have that, but i can't, so.... I've used a 372 in soft wood only, i really rated it, i liked its old school rawness and general feel. Never used a 461 or 576. 461 isn't available here which complicates matters, so I'm leaning towards the 372 as its also lighter. I know this is a big ask, but id be grateful for some non biased answers on which is the best saw regardless of manufacture, and from 1st hand knowledge. It'll be running a 24" bar (I run 560's on 15"/18", 660s on 25"/30" and 880 36"+) Thanks Let the stihl vs husky debate commence (joke )

    Slang!

One of the girls i was sniffing around when i was in the states called everything she thought to be cool, "spunky" which i always sniggered at Scrumpy can also mean tasty (food) or tasty as in pretty girl, who could also be called a bit of crumpet, which is also something nice roasted by the fire smeared in butter Isotonic is a type of sports drink which is good for replenishing the bodys salts(?) You guys have isotonic drinks, as that was something i drank a load off after getting unwell due to the altitude and not drinking enough.
  8. No helpful input, but heres quite a cool looking one for sale over here
  9. Thanks for the updates David
  10. Nah I wish! I did enter. Say's Jack Langabeer in the first post.
  11. Skyland were really helpful with big dawgs for my 460 Matty, give them a try
  12. THAT is a fantastic video! Is that something August has done himself? Looked like a fantastic air of teamwork and fun:thumbup1: And the 2nd Video was good too, great control
  13. I think Dean Lofthouse simply extended his shoot, about 1m long(?) If you hire it a lot you could make/have made a new shoot to bolt on/off. Just a bit of folded metal.
  14. Nice pics recently on here, especially Jays reduction and johns fat pine
  15. Nah, Gross misconduct, something only an idiot would do
  16. You brought a crap grinder and let your kit get nicked, putting your families and your workers families finances and health in danger... it was obviously your fault, you could have easily prevented it. Sack yourself for incompetence. CJW89, give it time to heal properly, tendons take time, as I'm finding out.
  17. I only do the occasional bit of milling, i have both a 660 and 880, anything over 20" especially hardwood I don't even consider the 660. The price difference between a 660 on a 36" bar and an 880 on a 48" is only £160+vat, well worth spending the extra.
  18. just soak the produce in water for a few weeks prior to delivery
  19. Cheers for that, yes dead root a possibility considering its location Dont blame you, the women in Chelsea are pretty fit, bit stuck up, but never the less you would wouldn't ya?
  20. what would cause one twist to be dead? Its hard to see in my crap pics, but theres a dead half twist, with a live tissue twist too, like its intertwined, but it's not, its still the same singular stem, twisted, with half the stem dead (from base to tip)
  21. Ive passed this tree a few times over the years, but had time to actually stop and photo it. Pretty cool, helical (?) growth from base to the tips spins round, live spinning round dead, no signs of trauma, or lightning strike, poor picture quality I'm afraid (overcast and iphone)
  22. Depends who you want to keep happy...the tree officer who specced a 0.5m reduction or the HSE bod...neither of whom have any practical experience
  23. Are you talking about the 560 here? If so whats this £20 Part?
  24. Like, 9 Months before he was born?
