  1. I’ve toyed with the idea for a few years now, was close to getting a 6,4 f250, 3,6ton empty, only a meter longer than my Hilux but the turning circle was an extra 8meters! A lot of them have really low legal towing capacity too, normally 1500kg -2000kg for some daft reason. theres a few older 7,3 250 king cabs about that can tow 3500kg but Ive been put off by there high mileage/chipped engines/23 year old owners who rev the nuts off them from cold
  2. Thanks for that! Diddnt know that but never felt the need to reset, good to know it’s that easy
  3. The depth is adequate for the average stump if it’s going to be lawn over the top, although not really adequate if replanting in the same spot or big stumps. It grinds far faster than the 252, and as others have said, I’d guess it drinks twice as much fuel as the Vermeer but grinds twice as fast, so you’re getting through the work quicker. you need a jerry can if doing a full day, I’d say a tank lasts about 4hours solid grinding but the gauge is shite so it might last longer! Itd be great if they made a mk2 with a few improvements @Ty Korrigan it’s efi
  4. Does look good!
  5. It is a good machine, has certainly been a step up for me from a 27hp vermeer 252. As i understand the bandit was built to be good value for money, and as such, could be better in a few areas. The Vermeer had a better quality feel about it, the 35hp 362 would be worth comparing to the Bandit ZT before decisions ar made IMO
  6. @jpbeaver @roseyweb What running costs (aside tax, ins etc) are you incurring? what sort of mpg are you getting?
  7. Safety should be the reason to implement the trailer MOT, not to be like Europe. I like to think i keep my kit in good working order, yet my Ifor still failed the trailer MOT on un-even brake distribution...I thought it was good but obviously not! Then i think back to some of the trailers i used in the uk and shudder. The more trailers that get inspected, the better.
  8. A few old threads, I think one was about a white one with flotation wheels that looked cool. Dunno where you'd put tools though!
  9. Full ddrt climbing kit, srt kit, rigging kit, pull rope, tool box, sharpening box, vice, chipper blade and grinder teeth box, 3 full size men at work signs, pole saw, big shot, felling kit, 660, 562, 201t, 150t, first aid, fuel etc etc
  10. Brought it ready made
  11. With the middle floor they're about £1100+vat, just the tray about £800+vat from work system I was lucky and got a used one, supposed to be for an amorak, but cut a bit go the frame out to fit over the hilux's wheel arches and its a near perfect fit
  12. If i ever find a new style 2nd hand single cab Hilux, i'll be sending it to CPL, type approved tipper conversions https://www.cumberlanduk.co.uk/products/cpl-chipper-tipper
  13. French https://www.brenderup.com/fr/fr/remorques/remorques-benne/benne-tipper/bt2000/305908/
  14. Släpvagn is the proper generic name for trailer (common name is just släp) tippsläp is tipping trailer
  15. The specific tip trailer https://www.brenderup.com/sv/se/slapvagnar/tippvagnar/1-vags-tippslap/bt2000tb/104034/
  16. Brenderup trailers, their 1 way tipper is 1990kg gross, 1360 load and 257cm x 152cm bed From their Swedish site, but should change to your local countrys https://www.brenderup.com/sv/se/slapvagnar/tippvagnar/ A few kg's and cm's out of your spec, but bloody pretty close!
  17. Bandits pipe finder!
  18. Buy one, i brought one at the end of last year, and am using it twice as much as i thought, probably more I don't have gaps in the calendar, but after for example, a days subbying, ill do a few stumps, an extra hour, and double my money that day
  19. It used to be a waiting list on the Carbon ones! Try Freeworker https://shop.freeworker.com/climbing-gear/climbing-spikes/climbing-spurs.html
  20. Shouldn't be too tippy, looks like the tracks hydraulic motor powers the front rotor wheel, and clamps onto the chassis. so its not gonna tip up and down like it was if only attached to the wheel hub. i would guess its only slightly front heavy. Very innovative!
  21. Imo you atleast need to recover your hourly costs, break it down, tell him he's right, you'll do it for your basic hourly rate "seeing as we were already there" 2 guys £40 ph x 1,5 hour = £120 + additional tipp fee off £18 .
  22. What was the price of the original job and time it took? what was he price of the extra and time it took? Removal of waste for both?
  23. Worked a bit for a company that had a 27hp koler engine on a Vermeer grinder, a couple thousand hours, never serviced, was dry of oil when I checked, still ran and still does as far as I know!
