i reckon sharp saws and well maintained kit prevent accidents to a certain extent

hahahahahahahaha!!!!! looks like itd work! at about a sixth(?) of the price the hobs/grcs, its definatly not aimed at competing with them, but worth the money to only use it occassionally it looks like a good value, lightweight lowering bollard, if that was youre spec, i reckon youve acheived it well done

whats the deal with the rb44s? looked into them, the army guys who used them reckon theyre rubbish, dodgy brakes, steering ect, but tree guys allways seem to love them? on paper they rock, 4x4, 2.3tonne payload ect they look the nutts too

yep, only one go mind-first comp, time before penalties:blushing: was 7 seconds of mr bullmans first attempt time which i was pleased with then a 15 second penality:biggrin:

like you i got the 361 for snedding, 046, 660 and 880 660 all the way, perfect between the 361 and 880, light enough to use in the tree for a good while too, 30inch bar on mine top saw id have a new 460 over 441 too

i had a hilux which i built cage sides for, chucked branches in the back and minced it all down, if you do this, get a builders bad, cut down the joins, lay a side on the front of the bed, bottem against the rear of the cab and fold the opposite side over the roof, tie rope to the handles, and lay the rope out the back of the bed, chuck all youre branches in the back, mince it all down to get more on we had a disused bt pole behind the fire heap, used to tie the ropes to the pole, and drive off:) all brush off the back, on the fire heap, no sweat, no hassle

possibly but i dont think so, steve was on about tool boxes, his mate had one made and was chuffed to bits with it, and was under 100 i seem to remember too but yeah, DJS are very good products, my shotgun safe is from them as theyre only 5min up the road from me

steve near me was on about them the other day for my landy, theres a firm this way which will build bespoke boxes, fairly cheap too try PMing niftysteve

i just cant understand why you felled it! i mean, youre up there allready, dismantled the awkward bit over the wires, and im guessing you would have loaded the wood on by hand, so why not chog it down in manageable lengths to 4 or 5 feet below the wires, then fell it, wouldnt have taken long atall, looking at the small size of the stump, less than 10 min-probabally less than it took you to set up a 4 pully pull line! also youre groundie can be chucking the cord on the truck as you chog down, saving yourself work on the ground! hey ho, lesson learnt

very true but the dealer should still give you a good discount, if he dosent go elsewhere, or say 'so and so quoted me x ammount, but id rather give you my custom' stick it on ebay, buyer collects, cash on collection within a week, something like that

DONT PAY THE RRP!!!!!! id instantly ask them to do you a deal, not £50 either, bit cheeky but everything is negotiable! id be expecting to pay around %25 less than the rrp stihl ms361 is a fantastic saw but if i were you id be looking at the stihl ms260-its what most colleges use to teach students to do exactly what youre doing sod letting someone else make a profit, and sell youre mower privatly, ebay maybe
