  5. £50-60, maybe 70 untill you've proved yourself those qualifications mean naff all at the moment, experience is much more valuable to put what i said into context, stephen hawking could pass a nd arb with ease, but do you reckon he could drag brash/climb???
  6. well tom and tommer, these were the bully boy sort, all mouth, relying on other peoples fear of their agressive mannor. and tree man tom, i too have dabbled in boxing . . . and kick boxing. but got kicked out of my school boxing club after a wannabe mugger attempted to mug me
  7. HAHAHAHAHA went to unload chippings today at a horsey yard past a caravan site, now before today, i thought this site to be a 'nice' caravan site, how wrong was i. unloaded, driving back past said site, got stopped by 4 'caravanners', recognised one of them from a few months back (too smart for the theiving scumbags ) asked us for fags ect, (im with 2 groundies) then starting asking where they can get climbers saws from, as 'they ave the harness and everything' well whilst my 2 niave groundies are happily chatting aay to them, im constantly checking my mirrors, watching as they walk round the back of the truck several times. anyway, after 5 mins ive had enough, as i pull away i see a 020 on the deck(where mirrors previously couldnt see) i yank the hand brake on, jump out, by which time theres no saw to be seen, we all pile out, the 2 groundies are both like come on lads hand it over' all nice and calm, i on the other hand arnt having any of it, 'wheres our !!!!!!!!! saw, blah blah blah' cant find it, looked under their van, in the back ect, still no saw, now the 4 'caravanners' are getting irate, so i jump in a 6 ft ditch covered in stingers, and found the saw 'caravanners' couldnt understand how it got there. . . suprise suprise my 2 groundies are all 'come on lads, fair game, lets shake on it' i had to walk away, otherwise id have lamped the lot of them they've now set themselves up as . . . (regulars on here, pm me for details) . . in histon, cambridge i strongly recomend that everyone chain their saws to their van

  13. i know what you mean, i think, sometimes the hitch will collapse, and when you put your weight on the rope it is still collapsed, so wont bite? try when putting youre wraps in the knot, put a twist in the hitch rope, i tried this, its amazing the difference
  14. will a series pto winch fit a 130 tdi defender?
  15. if youre confident you can sell it on for more than you paid for it the next day, have the money, and know for sure it either doesnt need any money spent or know for sure what it needs, and can still afford it/sell it on at a profit, go for it aslong as its what you want of course!
  16. i'll ask him when i next see him, prob friday, hes not advertising it but he blows hot and cold about selling it, i'll ask there are landrover bargins out there, its just a case of being patient and having the money ready
  17. is it always the battery in the second position thats faulty (if you swap the batteries around, will the battery which was in position 2 become good and battery which was position 1 now bad) if so something which can be an intermitent fault is the voltage regulator
  18. i had a hilux age 18-19, built simple cage sides for it, and of course can tow. car like inside so good to run about in too for everyday stuff, a transit imo would be a pain in the backside to run about in, go down the pub, into town if you want a defender go for it, youre budget IS big enough for a decent one. eg my mates selling his 110TD5 hardtop with decent wheels and tyres, 60-000miles, full lrsh 3.5K
  19. nice and chunky! how have you fixed the feet?
  20. who was that from and what size? guessing something like 285/75/15? are they the cooper discoverer st?
