  1. Is not just a sprayed Laski with the same workings?? Same as the Predator stump grinder...which is actually a Laski
  2. Your right Mark it's all a bit of a compromise either way...are you swayed more to work or pleasure. I prefer the option of a bigger load bed (I can get stumpie in the back) Sod the kids they can suffer...god knows the make me!!!!
  3. Got a nav king cab....my kids really don't like riding in the back, it is very cramped. So think long and hard.
  4. In my 20 odd years of tree work I've never needed to blow the saws out on site!! What's this all about???
  5. Crumbs...is this a competition, it seems to be getting cheaper and cheaper! Coletti you don't count coz yours is an isuzu! 😜
  6. Looks very nice mate!!😊 Just got one myself but in king cab version. Enjoying it compared to the Landy!!
  7. I solved the problem by buying a 530 😉 which I know doesn't help with your situation. Most machines have a removable dust guard which slots in front of the rad...I guess any sort of fabricated mesh will do the job might be worth taking a trip down the scrappy.
  8. Assuming the Vermeer is the same as my old Jensen 528 in that there is no opening in the housing where the radiator sits...which is a crazy idea!! All it's doing is sucking in hot air within the engine canopy. Jensen at least sorted the problem with the 530 giving it a full opening to fresh air. I reckon you need to cut out the front where the rad sits and fill with mesh.
  9. I just don't like the thought of phoning them up!....almost feels like I'm hassling them, I know I wouldn't like it...I get really annoyed from all the cold calls I get.
  10. Most of my quotes are sent via email. I have had a few problems recently in that they have been going directly to there spam! I have only found this out by customers actually chasing me for the quotes....of which I have sent but they have not recieved (gone into spam) What do you guys do about chasing up quotes...I don't want to be seen as pressing them!! But I obviously don't want to miss out on work. Do you phone or post??
  11. My 201 fell out the side locker of the Landy just last week 😢 Split the fuel tank! Cost me £130 at the local dealers to repair, new tank and under body which is all the same part. Think the tank was £70 odd.
  12. Hey Mark, Invoice to go is great been using it for a few years now...get the full version well worth the money, it holds it all in the cloud so you can use it between devices and never loose any data. In case you forgot who I am...Saxons mate with the fire truck!!!
  13. Hi James, have you got any anti roll bars on her??
  14. Turf company called. "Don't Seed it Sod it"
  15. Yep played with mine today....large ash dismantle. I am very impressed, used on Yale blue tongue 11.7mm. Self tendered with a decent amount of rope below! Very easy to use if your used to the hitch climber set up and in my opinion far better than any hitch system that I have ever used. Expensive but well worth the money!!
  16. There are good machines out there for £2-3k you just have to be careful what you buy. Look I've had my dosko for approx 4 years...I forget exactly how much I payed for it but it was around the £2500 mark. Engine is sweet to this day, I've replaced the bearings once, hydro belt lets go probably every 9 months cheap anyhow, the most expensive thing I've replaced is the cutter wheel at about £200 odd. I guess what I'm trying to say is as long as the engines good, the other parts really are not that expensive. The old girls payed for itself over and over again.
  17. Sorry will have to disagree with the above...20hp and above generally come with hydrostatic drive making it much less effort to grind. Sure enough the 13hp narrow access have there uses ie through houses and very tight access. But there is not a lot I can't do with my Dosko 20hp!!
  18. To be fair you could get a whole pile of problems with a 6k wagon. I started with a £1800 transit tipper which was very reliable! You can get good and bad on the whole price spectrum.
  19. Yep Jensen hear too!! I've had 2 of them...got the 530 at the moment. You need to keep an eye on the chassis for any hairline cracks, give it a jet wash and inspect.
  20. Very cool picture, thanks for sharing
