  1. It's the same guy who did mine. If it's the same its made of GRP.
  2. Cheers for that guys....not really clued up on the older landys! But I do know he's got a 6 pot Ford Mustang engine in it....and it sounds really sweet!
  3. Hi John, not sure mate but it lifted them large lumps of sycamore with no problem! I new I was gonna get questions like that...I should of asked him. Sorry.
  4. Not exactly sure...technically nothing with that crane on the back I would imagine. He just uses it to collect local firewood
  5. Had a fairly big sycamore to fell last week. Just a couple of pics to show a friends Land Rover 101 taking some of the but away.
  6. Yep another vote here for coppers. I've had them on my Landy tipper for 4 years now, they wear very well & have a high rating on the side wall to carry heavy loads.
  7. I've just brought the 461....and to be honest I'm not all that impressed with it. It was replaced by my old 440 which was stolen, and was expecting it to be far better....but it's not! I am running a 25 inch bar on it maybe that's the problem!?! I'm beginning to wish I got the husky equivalent instead. I'm finding myself reaching for the husky 560 every time!!
  8. Thanks for all your kind words guys...especially you Lloyde your a top bloke!! I have been offered so much kit to get me by, by friends in the business locally and obviously a few of you on here, the offers are really really appreciated! Believe me!!! The arb world Is a great community to be in and there really is some great genuine people out there. I have scraped together the bare minimum to get me by and a big thanks to ATS Machinery in Lower Beeding & Ray Fosters in Turners Hill for helping me out! Oh and the Police were great too...down to me within the hour and constantly keeping me up to date. Not that I'm likely to get any of it back. Cheers again everyone.
  9. Cheers guys...just got in from camping up yard! Gonna keep doing it until security sorted!! **** nights sleep! Mrs is better than sleeping with a crow bar & a dog!!
  10. Yea don't you think I realise that! Been at the same yard for quite a number of years with no bother. Just really putting it out there to let people know!
  11. Yep got down to container this morning and it's been gassed open. Ms 150 Ms 201 Ms 261 Ms 361 Ms 440 Ms 660 Hq 3120 Br 600 blower Ht 95 trimmer Hk 75 trimmer Hs 81 trimmer Hs 82 trimmer Hl 75 pole chainsaw All my climbing gear including distel spikes, petzl harness, slings, crabs & pulleys. Pretty much my whole livelihood!!!! Scumbags!!!!!!! To top it all off I'm not insured.
  12. Very sad news...hate to hear of any accidents in the industry. My thoughts are with you fella...hope you make a speedy recovery.
  13. I used I movie on my footage..to be honest I found it easier than the go pro one! But then I am quite new to it!
  14. Might be worth ringing the paintball place (think its delta force) on the roundabout on the Balcombe road. Failing that not sure if Balcombe Estate saw mill will take it?? Could be worth an ask. My closest to there is West Hoathly so probably a bit to far.
  15. X plate 110 td5 tipper, 148,000 Serviced regularly....still going strong!!
  16. Yep avoid the diesel! The Mrs had an 07 GV ddis...utter rubbish French Renault engine! Fairy light dashboard...back to the garage countless times.
  17. I've said it before and all the above posts reiterate exactly what I think about harnesses. It's such a personal thing, after all we're all different shapes and sizes what's right for one may not be for another. You really need to try before you buy...not just put it on, but actually go for a full on climb with a saw and all!!
  18. No chest harness fella. Drt for me! I think a harness is so personal what's right for one may not be right for another. I'm 5ft 9 and about 11 stone so i guess quite slim...it works for my body shape!
  19. Another vote for the sequoia (the newer one) best harness I've had! And I've had a few over the years. Very light and doesn't pull down on you when you attach a big saw like many others do.
  20. Pfanner zermatts are pants!!!! There fine if you want to stand still all day (very comfy) But if you actually do anything ie walking or climbing they feel like you've got a load of concrete strapped around your feet! They are too heavy and don't give enough and that's exactly why they last so long because they have too much material or leather in them. I think as with most peoples reviews it's a case of coz I've got them there the best.
  21. Yep hilux every time! I have a Landy 110 tipper difficult to live with every day
  22. Yea dealt with Robert at Arborcut...good people over there! Just one thing I've noticed after buying a couple of 2nd hand chippers, nobody seems to service the brakes which to me is quite an important aspect....I will now in future insist on them being sorted.
  23. Done many a take down with my 150!! (Obviously not big stuff) Absolutely love the saw, just make sure you port it.
  24. Will do fella...shame you can't make it though! Sax is in Norway for a couple of weeks at the mo working for Mike Hill
