  2. Anybody in the know regarding rules for high speed trailers. Need a bigger woodchip trailer for delivering biomass. Have found this 1997 AW TRAILERS M10 tipping trailer sprung draw bar srung axle roll rover sheet super singles Trailers in Stanley, Chippenham | Farmers Trader Which would be ideal for the job but would I be restricted to 20mph behind my MBTrac.
  3. Still having to log in twice before being able to post any replies.
  4. Just paid £37.10 for 25 ltrs of Hyd 32 from Crown Oil in Bury. I know they will also do discount for larger quantities.
  5. Just dont order concrete by the m3 unless you make it clear what you mean otherwise you may end up with far more concrete than you expected.
  6. If I had a penny for every woodworm hole in this old farmhouse I would be a millionaire. I do however take it seriously and treat all exposed timber every 3 years including roof trusses.
  7. Steve Something a bit weird is happening. Logged in as normal to be greeted with welcome renewablejohn but then login and password screen reappears as though I have not logged in. Tried to post and came back saying not logged in fill in form below. Totally went out of system back to google came in again to find already logged onto system hence able to post this to you.
  8. As a commercial grower we use a UV filter plastic for all crops that do not involve pollination as this controls green fly and white fly effectively in the polytunnel without the use of chemicals. See description Luminal AF (Politherm) Polytunnel Cover Obviously growing tunnels that need bees for pollination have a different type of plastic which is different again to the clear plastic we use for wood drying.
  9. I have a traditional polytunnel and one with straight sides the difference being on a 20 mtr tunnel storing 80 IBC containers as compared to 120 IBC containers in a straight side. The cost of plastic being the same for both tunnels. On a 20mtr tunnel you need 1mtr height difference from spirit level horizontal which will then move humid air out the tunnel without the use of fans. My site is very exposed so side vents are not an option as the tunnel will be ripped to shreds. Tunnel is without doors at both ends but aligned so that prevailing wind flows over the tunnel at right angles to the exposed ends. Plastic is clear for maximum heat whereas our growing tunnels are opaque with wavelength blocking to reduce insect pests.
  10. Really impressed with the power of that water turbine. Cutting through elm with an automatic rip saw would certainly need a bit of grunt.
  11. My MB Trac is on the road for £80 IE Road Tax zero Insurance £80 No MOT requirement. Maybe Mog owner would like to fill in equivalent costs for a Mog.
  12. If you where near Bolton I could sort you out but Gatwick is a bit far.
  13. My processor is inside my polytunnel but the tractor is outside with pto shaft through tunnel side. Just have to make sure access route to tractor is always clear.
  14. I price by the m3 and sell by the IBC container (1.2m3) so it is 100 per m3 with 20% free. If I need to compete with a builders bag then it is 50 per 0.5 mtr bag they soon get converted to buying by the IBC container.
  15. Set up new companies with both daughters as directors. A useful tool for handing the business to the next generation.
  16. I wear sealand over trousers from now until the end of March even if its not raining. If it gets below freezing I then swap for sellopettes
  17. Like to see Patu produce something similar as an attachment to there stroke delimber.
  18. Do I get the free ticket to the CLA Game Fair as my reward
  19. Did not have to wait long its now relisted
  20. Does anybody use a bandsaw powered by hydraulic oil. If so what is the performance like.
  21. I know of a very well refurbished Patu but its not cheap at 5k.
  22. Set up your own combined heat and power plant
  23. Your quite welcome to come down and see if any big butts are suitable for your purpose. What sort of price per tonne are you willing to pay as the price of firewood cord is going through the roof.
  24. Our prevailing wind is from the West to South West so our Polytunnels go North to South with both ends open to the wind. Works well for us as the horizontal rain is normally in the direction of the prevailing wind.
