  1. Cheers shavey, nice little review. Did consider having a look at the kelfri 10" which look a copy of the farmi. https://www.kellfri.co.uk/chipper-220-hydraulic-infeed Not stupid money really. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Think that was actually a few weeks ago but sad all the same Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Problem I found by putting a hitch on the bridge is it was inside the D's so if you twisted 1 direction the ring hit it and let your bridge lengthen which could be a unnerving experience if you were not expecting it. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. You got 1 johny? Looks a bit more occasional use than pro use, am I wrong to look at it like that? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Oooo that's interesting, will see what's in piggy bank at end of financial year as thought for a long time 1 of those would suit quite a bit we do especially with those being 2T and the larger having a decent pull! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. Yeh, strange bloke from what I've seen on TV but his stuff is really interesting to look at. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. You want to get up to Newcastle with Oscar to centre of life to see the animal's, just going round with my two and finding seeing inside fascinating. Not long left as finishes on 8th Jan. Planetarium is impressive with curved scree above you showing planets and comments collide. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. I'll take a picture of my 1 and post a picture up tomorrow if I go to yard for you. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. A timber insert would last me about a year if I was very lucky but had the plastic 1 for about 3 years now and apart from annoyingly bouncing out the alloy it's almost indestructible. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Always preferred these https://www.clarkforest.com/shop/forest-garden/splitting-wedges/ochsenkopf-aluminium-massive-wedges But if you like the hilift put these nylon inserts instead of the wood and they last far longer https://www.clarkforest.com/shop/forest-garden/felling-wedges/plastic-handle-for-high-lift-wedges Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. I've set up my tm bridge the same but with a Kong duck which seems a lot better constructed and kinder on the rope. Augusts new tribe belt won't come with an adjustable bridge but you can fit 1 as the way the straps and bridge come together is quite similar to the tm. I've just got 1 before Christmas and only had a couple of climbs and no real faffing time yet but can report it's incredibly comfortable and very sits almost perfectly out the box. 12. Sorry, gotya Need to get my dummys guide to acronyms out again don't I. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. Wish anyone would pay that around here for decent cutters as I'd be more inclined to do more again. 140 - 150 is the upper limit I can push and that's normally oversized timber or ugly technical stuff. The only real way I see it being worth our time is where I can put the tractor/winch/trailer or 360 and grab on site as well to assist and charge a decent rate for whole job. Luckily most of the forestry we do is what some would call pretty forestry on estates where a tidy job is more important than production or avoiding damage to remaining trees takes priority and they are willing to pay for this service and skills. 19. Nice! Lunar did that yesterday after eating a full block of butter stolen out the shopping bag when I went out to fetch rest in. Darn retrievers, canine wast disposal units! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. Dog stole about 12 before I cooked them and we are all paying the price now! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  22. That's fantastic. Always loved deerhound's but never had a house big enough. You have caught the expression well 👍 Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. Almost the same as above, we do a lot of emergency works which alway pay well above normal rates but today it's extra again, it's normally a fixed rate per call-out which some you think were OK but not brilliant and others are frankly easy extra money for the lads and the business. Today took 1 1/2 hrs from 1st call to me being back home as as a relatively small tree which came down onto a road and unfortunately put a car windscreen through so had policy attendance. I don't mind doing them as goos for the business which I put a lot of work into and if it helps get better gear or means I can earn a lot in a little time and not impact anything else and then take a few days off to take kids out payed for by 1 nights work I don't mind doing it. Think in a few years time I might think differently and pass more onto willing staff who think the same about earning extra for there family. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. I was but from call to getting home only took 1 1/2 hrs 10" ash come over onto Road and put someone's windscreen through so got a police attendance call to clear and make safe, Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
