    Some noise canceling blue tooth headphones from the wife for when I'm trying to do paperwork at home and kids are making lots of noise I can drown them out with decent tunes Quite a few bottles of beer to work through but unlikely today as on call but hopefully nothing till after big family meal I'm on cooking now.     Big thanks to farmi forest and global recycling for going above normal service to get me a winch out yesterday after a courier mess up where they collected but decided instead of delivering when agreed they would leave it till after Christmas dropping me in the poop. Greg or Craig, apologies as not sure which at farmi tracked down another winch the same and had it collected from Wales and fetched up to Yorkshire late last night so I could fulfill a promise to do some work with it between Christmas and new year so again a big thanks and I'd recommend this service to anyone.     The way the shafts are put on the floor is where they will be clipped on to both ends, part of the problem is big ends from clicker on 1 and shear bolt on other. Think I'm going to end up extending the bottom links on chipper out a bit to push it out more and give more room. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

    OK so far so good but now hit a snag and a big 1 at that, not enough room for the pto! 24" between tips of shafts on tractor and chipper which leaves not much room for overlap on pto. Any idea's anyone? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

    What size motor did you use on your skidding winch unit Eddie as contemplating putting 1 on my farmi 501 so it can go on front links on valtra, I've got 76lpm at 196bar apparently, just for times when I've got trailer on aswell bit need to winch something within reach at a decent speed or tip a tree over but still swap it onto the back for more serious skidding work.     If you drop into Sam turners and go to machine dep and ask for Steve, he will probably have them and direct you up to his place just out of town.     Sure do, wouldn't run all 4x4's if I didn't like playing off road 😉 Tractors a beast and just plays with that trailer compared to the poor old massy which managed but just wasn't quite big enough. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

    Big hedge removal, unfortunately it's across 2 fields that are wet and extremely slippy, ended up towing the RB and landy in thismorning with the valtra then short leading the whole trees over to the fenceline where we could get the chipper and deal with them, also very handy being able to grab the top of the one's overhanging the gardens and just pick them up once cut off. Total mud pie time getting out tonight with both vehicles needing tractor help again to get out. Back again tomorrow for more wallowing Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

    Should be it's off the front of a big mog so should be able to take the hp. Easy to remove by undoing the 4 bolts and slide it of the shaft then in can go on the front of the tractor once I can afford to have a front pto fitted. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

    Got a bit more done last two evenings, chipper bolted down in place, shaft adapter on, gearbox on and support bars for it welded in and bolted and some tie straps twisted and bolted in to hold the a frame a bit more. Changed the filter and oil now just got to make up the new pto shaft with overrun on 1 end and shear bolt on other so hopefully by end week I'll have it spun up nd found any problems with the chipper itself but hopefully non will show up.     On with this at moment, got all linkage frame made and welded on and just got shafts, gearbox and adaptor delivered so hopefully tomorrow night it'll be ready to spin up Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
