  1. Knocked it in you mean. Yeh looks like it has had a scar before I got her, unfortunately it's buckled round the headlight and alone the side panel almost to the door post so might need a who new skin or pick up a whole 2nd hand corner and spray it to match. Still works so it'll have to stay as is for a few weeks till I get time to sort it out. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. I carried the palax processor on the loader on massy a few times with a trailer on back to site to get logs and would happily do same with our farmi as it's not too heavy for a 10" chipper, very annoyingly the bottom pins on it aren't wide enough to pick it up with valtras front linkage or I'd do the same with that. 3. Should add skip to 1:30 ish for chipper. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Don't think I'd fancy it on the road, was thinking of putting a tow ball on my farmi for pulling ifor around site but nothing bigger and not a agri type trailer with a lot of drawbar weight. If you had the money the opposite way would work fantastic with chipper on back of trailer, emptying might be a pita if it didn't side tip mind! Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. One of the lads came back tonight rather unhappy with himself with this to show for his efforts. Should tcut out with a bit of elbow grease........ Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. Think the Arb association has a template on the help for arborist section of there site which you can download free and alter to suit, I use the fisa/afag leaflets to base safety talks on as it is laid out in front of you to talk over, not perfect by any means but better than nothing. Let me know how you get on. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. Wasn't he dagma as well. Know what your saying, some of the old threads on how a job was tackled were always a interesting read but I can see how some postings replies could put people off trying to explain there work strategies. Heck even silky is quite these days! Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. Yes apparently a 3rd party redoing the paintwork was responsible as as this is still unresolved redwood have fitted new panels instead of my referb edge one's. So new bonnet, new hopper, new side panels, resprayed spout, resprayed chassis, new axle and tires, reprogrammed ecu to allow feed rollers to reverse when stop bar is pressed in and cracked chipping chamber repaired, I think that's everything. So should be like a new machine but with a 400hr well serviced engine in it. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. It's a miracle....... It's coming back to me on Wednesday! Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Mason's still have my old hb20 I think if that in you budget. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. She ain't called loon for nothing! That's a good picture Dean, thanks again for getting the machines sorted and up to us. [emoji106] Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. Just a better state a debt my friend [emoji12] Luckily I got that money back I told you about so with that and massy money it paid for grinder then a lot of hard work and graft put half down for 90. I look at it as a investment as these machines should outlast anything else I could have bought and still retain a value in itself. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. Well I last posted on 26th of June and I still don't have a machine back that's now over 10 weeks for repair and new paint work and nearly every week I was promised it back and it never materialised. Considering I was told they could fix everything in 1 day in my yard it takes the piss how long it has taken in the factory. While it was away the curtisy machine broke down twice, 1 I fixed as was in a rush the 2nd required a fitted to come out which to be fair was done very quickly but he did have the parts in stock. Since then I decided to get a new bigger machine so found someone who was very keen on buying my st8 off me, we arranged a deal and as redwood had promised my machine back that week all was good. Wrong! 3 weeks later I still did not have it back and had a very pissed of buyer on the phone telling me to stuff the deal he was off to get another machine as needed to get on with some work which is expected but not good for me as now have to go through the pains of selling it when it eventually comes back. I even asked redwood if they were willing to buy the machine off me as a good will gesture for causing so much inconvenience to be basically told no they didn't want it nor did they have room for it. So I will have a fully factory referbed and repainted for sale soon if anyone is interested give me a call. John Lawrence Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. We have upgraded our machines a bit recently and thanks to Dean we now have 2 shiny new bandit machines to play I mean work with. Zt1844 90xp with a little winch mod. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. Gone bigger as it suits our vehicles and kind of work so bought a bandit 90xp with the big perkins engine in her. Just got delivered yesterday. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  16. Do you know what this is? It's at the bottom of a sick looking oak tree, the black mess is like a wet goo that stinks Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. I think it was Ray who said no to buying the machine off me yesterday. Real pain in the arse as new chipper comes today and forst should have been sold last week to release funds but now got to go through the advertising and tyre kicking rigmarole. I seem to get the impression that we have a north south division in service quality and a quality directly related to quantity, if you have multiple machines and are likely to want more you receive A* if your a smaller 1 machine owner operator who is likely to get 1 machine ever 4-5 years your out of luck What gets me boiling is its a real good machine to use with plenty of throughput and ability just with some fundamental flaws. I should also add it took nearly a year and quite a lot of chasing for them to actually get round to collecting the machine to sort out the bodywork and it was finally another problem which pushed it into a reaction. 3 year warranty means the machine should be free from manufacturers defects for 3 years not we will fix it for 3years for you then your on your own! 18. Really wish I could say the same for them, my st8 has been with them since 26 June that's now over 10 weeks for repair and new paint work and nearly every week I was promised it back and it never materialised back which is pathetic considering they were going to send 2 lads up to do the work and swap pannals at my yard in 1 day but decided since the stress control needed resetting it was better to do it at the factory. We were given a courtesy machine but had two breakdowns on that where we have lost time. I have now decided to buy another brand and this week after being fobbed off again with we don't know when it will be ready and so loosing a private sale of the machine as the lad wanted a machine ASAP I asked if redwood wanted to make me a offer on the machine to be basically told no we don't want it. So if you're interested in a 2 year old st8 with around 400hrs on it that's had a full factory rebuild so apparently will be like a brand new machine but at a decent discount keep your eyes on arbtrader as WHEN it comes back I'll be putting it on there or give me a call. 19. Dad's current problem/project 1 of now 4 lotus elan he has. I just get drafted in as a recovery truck as we all know lotus stands for Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. I'm just happy the app is working well again but the post count is seemingly down at the moment. It'll go back up in September when all the new year collage lot start asking if they should get red or black trousers or is a white helmet for supervisors only all over again [emoji43][emoji43] Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  21. Didn't bother replying as I'm miles away but hey if you wanted to collect you should have said will to travel xxxx number of miles. Anyway what did you carve in the end? Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. Thought the little mower was going to cop it! That'll have saved you some time on getting the job done. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. Lot of very sickly looking roadside trees around us mostly ash and sycamore which I think could have been a result of excessive salt over a period of harsh winters, I think I have taken out more mature dead trees this year than normal but with no one visible obvious connection. Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Tracked 1 was a little temprimental but once used to the controls it was very good at getting onto the canopies of the limes and reached the upper extremities no problem also 1 of the few that would set up on the slopes of the field. The wagon was like riding a magic carpet with hardly any boom flex or sway and with the cage being so big and having a 600kg work capacity made life very easy and smooth. 25. Feet roller bracket bolt sheared on chipper again today but at least local fitter had 1 in stock so was able to get us up and running fairly fast [emoji106] Sent from my F8331 using Arbtalk mobile app
