  1. That's the only negative I have found with my 90 being on the knot trailer, plastic mud guards which are a little to wide to lean over comfortable and way to soft to stand on, going to look into some stronger checker plate one's. What model machine is yours? 990 I thought but then looks bigger on a single axel.
  2. You buy it nd I'll spray it for you and I'm sure halfrods are doing some cheap dab radios and seekers at the moment but don't think you will hear it over the engine noise very well [emoji12]
  3. I'll give it a go, I think it could be possible but he's tight so no promise [emoji6], I'm really impressed with it now I've had a good play and know how to get the best out of it although I did smash two teeth on something but less than a min to spin them and back working. So much easier to change the teeth than the hb20 with them sitting further from the disk so you can get a proper socket onto them instead of needing a open ended spanner.
  4. It's a bit different to the prototype but far sleeker I think 36 conifer stumps in a shy over 2hrs Loving the hight adjustable spout on the 90, high for filling big trailer and low for properly packing the rb, not a inch of space left unfilled with this machine. So glad Ian talked me into spending the extra on the winch as it makes pulling tangled conifers apart so easy saving cutting up so much.
  5. Not sure of cost as specked it on new machine. top face is rippled from chip hitting it, resprayed built version now on my machine is slightly thicker mettle.
  6. If you'd used a normal grinder I guess that pipe would be long gone, very handy attachment.
  7. Yes they do as got a short version for my st8, got a spare if you want to try it but the back is full of dint as made from carling cans.
  8. That's really good, love the pose not being a normal straight sit.
  9. Better off spending your money on ipaf as this will be instantly recognised on any commercial site you go on without questioning Where I've found they tend not to understand our lantra or nptc stuff.
  10. It's a truly massive oak and we were starting a heavy retrenchment of side limbs incorporating fracture pruning in places, removed deadwood and take out a few elongated leaders and vertical growths from old wounds, it's a ongoing project to try and retain the tree.
  11. I'm with you on that 1, my finger has hovered a few times but will power and wife fear has stopped me. As you know I run a 14.5m on a landy which suits us as narrow set up for road works and has a decent reach without being to big and can tow a trailer. The tracked platform beechwood have is the 1 I would get if I went that way as gives decent hight and outreach. Single stick is fine if your on a dismantle but no good for pruning as gives no up and over reach. Used a 20m on a cabstar which was a good boom but useless unless on hard standing as could get stuck on a dog poo on a pavement... I don't think that any 1 boom and carrying option is the correct 1 for everyone, you need to know your business and what you do most regularly and gamble that it'll continue that way and except your still going to have to climb some things and hire in bigger/smaller/offroad/narrower occasionally and then sometimes still get I wrong, this is our landy and a 22m tracked with me having to use pole saw out of to get last bits as was to lazy to get harness on [emoji12]
  12. A strong able bodied lad to push you around in a wheel chair by chance or a driver.... [emoji56]
  13. That's going to take a while to get back to working condition. Love the fact the whole team made time for a group photo before taking you to hospital, wouldn't see a football team care as much [emoji12] and some have even started the 3rd half earlier!
  14. Looks like my rb is exempt as K and so over 25 and landy will be next year as L reg.
  15. Here you go, see what sort of Mark up they are or aren't making on it, gits promised to advertise my machine for me as a sorry for all hassle I've had and even that was a empty 1.
  16. Buy it over here and get it shipped over for that sort of price difference!
  17. Really like it, plenty of poke, easy to use, simple maintenance and belt tensioning, no more sliding engines back and trying to keep everything in line. 900 series Green teeth which seem to take a beating well but going to try a set of rayco super teeth as always rated them. Got a 40" across 8" high lime stump to do soon so that should give it a good test as everything I have ground so far has been within a single sweep diameter. Sometimes I really like is the tracking speed when crossing site, nice and quick so not burning fuel and time wandering behind it like an aged pensioner. Another nice little touch is the safety bar rises up as you drop the head so unlike most other machines it's not clattering of the stump or fences if your in close.
  18. Shouldn't be a problem I'd only had a look at the lower hp one at the Arb show and didn't even bother with a demo as trust the brand so just called Dean and told him to get 1 ordered.
  19. Yes. It is, it's a unimog one that came from Atkinson vos as they are about the most compact ones I could find that could still handle a decent hp.
  20. Most new decent kit now has its own unique number already marked on making identification easy, for soft items tape marker pen and shrink wrap do nicely and hardware engraving lightly into the paint on a non load bearing place like the edge of the gate on a krab. Don't spray anything as this could affect an items strength. Just keep a simple record of all your stuff and when used/checked.
  21. About the same money, they have a waiting list for a reason!
  22. Apprentice getting to grips with the 8tonner last week
  23. Zt is very good, where in Yorkshire are you Looked at the toro at the show and ground clearance looked a little low and wasn't sure how well the side swing head would work is space was a little tight like grinding in a corner.
  24. We use mewp's lots as now we have a lot of experience with them getting positions right is fairly easy and owning 1 makes a big difference especially when it comes to the end of the day and chogging down stems. Climbing definitely has its place but being compatent enough to use both is like knowing when to cut and chuck and when to rig stuff when climbing, sometimes 1 is more effective than the other. Our picker which can also tow 3.5 ton so shift stuff away from site or fetch grinder. 34m tracked we had for a week which really speeded up deadwooding these massive limes. Large 38m wagon mount we use when a lot of outreach is needed We do get a lot of nasty trees to do and just find making use of these means I'm not knackered for the weekend with the kids. And after quite a few injuries hopefully prolonged my working life.
