  1. The second image is fantastic, I do wonder how it affects the trees being flooded like that.
  2. Creative thinking [emoji106]
  3. Joy of joys today, a beech snapped of at about 20ft and landed almost upside down on the road wiping out 2 sets of signs, some interesting tension and compression picking this apart. And this is what the tree thought of it all [emoji56]
  4. It didn't really, paintwork was crap and pealing and had a few cracks in feed hopper on crap welds and a bent hub, we had already had the spout strengthened after it almost blown through. After nearly a year of chasing them I eventually lost it nd got them to take it in for repair, after 12weeks and story's of panels not getting re painted properly/needing redoing I lost it again so they rebuild it with all new parts and made a very good job of it out of courtesy but by this time I'd decided to go bigger and ordered a bandit so need to sell the forst to buy a smaller chipper as well.
  5. Tell him I have a fully factory rebuild 2year old st8 for sale, basically it's a brand new machine with a 400hr hr engine in it if he fancys making a big saving on a new one
  6. Fair enough, would like something similar for smaller jobs. Thanks, they are really proving to be a great decision to speed up jobs.
  7. You sir have obviously never had to deal with post natal depression, believe me if it seems to work you will try it as I wouldn't wish it on any family, coupled with ptsd from wrongly being told our 2nd would be luck to make 3 years ( he's now 6 and doing well) my support lies firmly with sloth on this one.
  8. Have you renamed the company Ian, though you were target trees. Van looks tidy. [emoji106]
  9. A little video from yesterday while clearing a strip through a private woodland for a zip wire.
  10. Unfortunately not used a p38 only ever the bigger preditors but at the moment I'm thinking it is better than the old rayco rg1635 tracked machine I spent a lot of time on. Everything is very easy to service and grease, belts are a doddle to check and Tighten as it's on a idler and not having to slide bairings or the engine to do it anymore. A big plus for me is the controls swing from the back out to either side so when we are working roadside I can stand whichever side gives me best sight line. Tracking is very quick so if you have a multi stump site your not wasting time and fuel getting from 1 to next especially if it's spread out around say a golf course.
  11. Sometimes I hate being right. Congratulations to you both [emoji106]
  12. That was my thinking after borrowing a 10 one recently which seemed to follow the tractor quite well compared to a long 14ton root crop trailer I had last time, I guess high sides makes the capacity difference.
  13. Nice looking new chipper John [emoji106] What size is the trailer as it looks a handy capacity without being to big, looking at them at the min trying to decide what size would be best for us.
  14. Placenta, your cookie up your wife's placenta for a nutritional iron rich post birth smoothie.
  15. Good choice josharb87 They are really good little grinders, my one out earning its keep..
  16. Bet that takes some attention to detail and rediculous amount of time to get right! End result is good though.
  17. Cheers Mark. Didn't think I'd spelt it correctly [emoji12]
  18. Yeh going big has many advantages but brings with it a few problems, I do get the impression they have it a lot easier in the states with vehicles weight laws. Would definitely like to see it working but think I'll stick with tractor power for anything bigger than 12".
  19. Spotted some nice examples today while out with the dog Fistulina Shaggy pholiote, (something like that) plenty of lovely gano applanatum And what I think is a small. Dryad saddle
  20. That would explain the mog to tow it, nice! Good idea, wouldn't be hard to make a plate to sit over the plastic and bolt on the chassis behind it that'd be strong enough to stand on even just for adjusting the spout.
  21. Derail sorry but can you flip the mobile site to dark mode like in my screen shot as it makes reading the text so much easier for me on the phone as white on black stands out so much more with my dyslexia.
  22. Yes, updated just a few weeks ago after all the main site updates
  23. I'm not that cruel to make you do without your machine for 3 months for a bit of dulux splashed around the edges. I'll have you know I'm getting quite good with the old spray gun and orange is my speciality.
  24. All those dead trees, going to keep someone busy for a while if the owners want them all clearing with the fire risk. Good rigging of some seriously big bits.
