  1. Though this one made it look like it was wistfully looking into the distance thinking if only I had someone to share this moment with 😭 Any eta on my new machine yet Dean? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=109140 Kronos 4000 XL Timber crane and grab (off unimog) Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. That is probably the best answer as it covers all bases but possibly 1.5 - 1.75 x normal rate for out of hours so if it disrupts the next day as well it helps cover you and you can pay the lads more which makes them more likely to be willing to come out and do it especially if they are young, money hungry and keen, not old, rich and disheartened like eggs 😜😜 Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Yeh got that 1 too ha Haa Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Make yourself a decent chain skirt to hang between the mulcher and tractor which should slow stuff down before it hits anything hard. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. It's the freaky voice messages plogs sends me through WhatsApp that crack me up always starting with joooohhhnnn it joooohhhnnn in that distinctive drawl 😁 Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. Really rate my 1 and used it lots especially for compromised trees or when we are running as a two man team as climber can hold control the rope while groundsman controls the limb being lowered My 1 did the same once so I whipped around the top to tighten it up a bit and been fine since. 8. That's the 1, just couldn't think of it when I posted the picture, massive example of around 14ft tall. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. The valtra is 196bar and 73ltr min flow but not sure what rpm it gives that at. I'm no hydraulic expert really but this works well for us, we lost a little bit of pull and speed but more than makes up for it with the convenience of not having to swap between implements if we are mostly using the trailer or chipper on back. If we are doing a lot of heavy winching or skidding with it I swap back to shaft as it's faster and will give slightly more pull. Matching the motors capacity to the tractors available power and the winches requirements is really key which is why I'd recommend speaking to killworth as the lad there seems to really understand this lot. Also bare in mind the old analogy 'buy cheap buy twice' is very true with this stuff! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Was about 600 I seem to remember for motor, pipes, mounting plate and adaptor so it just slides onto splines where shaft would normally go, takes less than 5 min to remove and change back to a pto shaft. Sourced it from Kilworth tractors who were very helpful indeed. You could probably get away with a smaller motor as your winch won't take as much driving and you probably have a bit less oil flow. 11. Very colourful tree/shrub spotted today Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  13. How about converting to hydraulic like we have done with our farmi so we can run it on the front of the valtra then you can keep it close meaning you can skid more without lifting the front and keep the flail close for stability and less swingout when turning. 14. Love the way monkey puzzle looks like it's melted at the bottom Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. Bonus of the bigger tractor will be it has 1000 speed pto so will be running at much lower rpm almost just off tickover. I don't find our big valtra too bad doing logs as it's running the palax and splitter at same time. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  16. Nice video 👍 Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. Not available on mobile devices, Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. They did actually, no embarrassing phones ringing in the middle of the ceremony thankfully, made that 1 as a bit of a joke but went down really well. Lovely mixed woodland to use for it. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. Botex strip down, started with a leaky ram then found pin collar was all but cracked off then found a tiny crack in bit it go's onto so whole slew casting is going to have to come off the king post to split them and strengthen it up a bit, the simple jobs never stay that way! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. Slightly calmer note made some signs for my friend wedding last week end. And quiet a few Swedish candles for the after party. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  21. Last two weeks felling massive mushy beech trees, worst you could get inside so had to be dropped at 17' but still wasn't nice, bobcat made like a lot easier pulling things apart and stacking up timber to shift with valtra at the end. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. My machine was picked up thismorning to go back in for quite a list of stuff and got dropped off a cover machine that hasn't exactly been looked after by previous user so will see how this go's till I get my machine back. Strange it has cracks and falts in same place as mine..... Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. Looks really smart but has it broken down as back of truck is full of brash 😜 Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Would be nice but holding off at moment as really would like something with a bit more reach like a botex 360tl but not till late in year. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. Valtra has gained a new attachment today curtisy of Dean at global, she's now double ended farmi.after a few minor teething problems it was happily munching dead beech limbs and producing beautiful chip. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
