  1. Chipping a whole heap of thorns we cut over a month ago which were down to be burnt by the client but English nature stopped him and funded us to chip and remove, busy daddy came in with his hm 10 500 and valtra and bossed it for me. Took me longer to get back to yard and tip off than for the chipper to fill it, 3 good loads in no time. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. You still got the 360' Stephen or have they gone as well? You always said you made more profit for less effort with Gloria taking her rite to the tree rather than busting a gut dragging everything out to a bigger machine. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Strange looking thing really. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Take it and make it pay for itself by using the space for logs, chip, mulch to sell out which you'd otherwise be giving away or worse paying to get rid of. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Bugger, that's terrible your still being held up getting it sorted, money going out for it and not bringing it in getting jobs done. Hope you get sorted soon. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. How you getting on with getting your big machine back up and running Eddie, sorry if I've missed a update. Your rite about decent guards when mulching, had a few stones and bits of mettle make it past the bars and bounce off the glass which really wakes you up when your not expecting it. 7. Both really to be honest, been thinking of a second chipper for two teams to run out some days and to act as a backup when the st8 is down again, pto makes sense as got two tractors and going bigger also makes sense for the size of jobs we are getting more of and since my mate with the big heizohack we were getting in is booked up nearly all the time timing it in is harder for multi day jobs. 2nd big advantage I can see to having 1 is we can chip a good lump of the timber that comes off jobs and send it out as G30 biomass to be dried so additional value to the crap wood even if it has to be broken down with the 30ton splitter 1st. It can also act as a backup to my mates incase he is down for a few days and 1 of his smaller clients runs out of fuel chip and needs a topup to keep going till he's back in service. 8. At that point where a need for a bigger chipper is becoming more apparent and a 300 series heizohack seems to tick the boxes as we definitely have the hp for it, still a good chance I'll be in contact about the bandit if we don't get sorted in the next two weeks. 9. Do you find the top crush makes a lot of difference on brash Tom? What hp is your valtra, really looks a good setup. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  13. Good little chippers, had 1 in the late 90s and it did some graft for me. How much you looking for for her as know a small estate that are after a little machine for around the gardens for bits of pruning they do themselves. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. I want to know more. Please explain how it all works as just when I thought I'd worked it out I doubted myself again. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  16. Well that's half the decent stands not going then, wife might be happy as I normally spend around 1.5 - 2k between the two at the show on bit of kit and clothing for myself and the lads. Was hoping to get a r nearly new rope respliced after it got spiked badly 3m from the end by honeys as well. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. Sounds like you do need to replace anvil plates as they are probably curved over so letting the blades tare material past instead of getting a clean cut. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. Ah it's Martins old chipper , it is a good machine then, might be in touch if we can't get something sorted before needing to start these jobs. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  25. What Ian said, hydraulic drive to the wheels which stay still when grinding and everything else pivots above, still a decent work out on a bigger stump but a very efficient machine used correctly. Hardest part is pulling it back over when the head drops too low and you loose the balance point especially if your slight like this lass. Video of it working for you eggs Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
