  1. Good pictures Ian, Likeing the selfi, do you have a filter or edited those photos as they seem to be soft focus, Looks a good job to be on, always wanted to do a crane job. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  2. Not sure just looked up the obvious places and nada so will look up the isdn numbers on mine and pm them you if you like. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  3. He's a sort of Fred dibner type carrickter who did a few books on classic forestry stuff, story's of round timber horlage. Lots and lots of pictures of pulling timber with old unipowers, cats, etc sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  4. 50,000 and they painted it that awful colour, shame on you sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  5. Time to get it out paying itself back, looking good, by the time you get some stickers made up it'll be 1 of your best advertising tools as well as an awesome tool sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  6. That man is a local legend! He is like something out of a morris Saunders book with his collection of old self modified equipment. 1 of those character's who will just keep going and going til the last day! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  7. Thanks bud, use decent gear just makes things that little bit easier and smother, could never go back to a prusick or blakes at a push I'd hitchclimber it but the zigzag is the way for me, even in the rain it's the same as the dry. Saying that I have decided I hate sycamores like that in the rain, if it weren't for having the tm booked for this today I'd have called it and gon conny bashing. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  8. Not much difference to running an older landy cost wise, similar no frills sort of feel to it. Just remember to have a note pad on the dash to right down where your going and why as by the time you get there you'll have forgotten why :what: she ain't no speed machine. But for what it stands me at £wise nowt ells would do what I need it to for that. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  9. Tony who did body on my truck will make some as long as you need as long as you can carry them somewhere, light and exceptionally strong, he did some 10' that you could pick up with 1 hand but hardly flext with a car on them. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  10. The red and white 250 looks good but the baby blue looks a bit pants, just get dirty on no time! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  11. Looks well muddy on that show field, Wellington 's a must have fashion accessorie that day. Doesn't matter how much you love/hate work non of it matters when having a daddy daughter day  Nice stumpy too, let's be having some action shots soon. Will it fit in back of bang tidy to get everything to site in 1 trip if chip is stopping, be well handy if it will. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  12. Twas wet, very wet! Found the zigzag is very effective at getting the water out of the roap as you decend and depositing it strate up me sleave, lovely! As normal Paul ran the ropes and nearly had a flying fox moment when I took a little more than I should without a capstan :what: So glad that trailer was well built as just crashed the timber strate into it no worries! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  13. No but I'll get Mrs to do it then it might actually work this time :'( sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  14. Well done bud, hope to have a few hrs free Thursday afternoon to mill a bit redwood for you and a yew trunk that I've been tripping over for months. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  15. Don't use your vehicle on his job, simple, his job his truck, your job your truck. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  16. Arbtrolly for brash and light timber where inline dragging through narrow access is a must and get the tracked barrow for bringing heavier stuff out from awkward places with less restrictive access. Would love something like a boxer but don't need it often anough to justify. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  17. That sir is about the best answer any1 can give, a job takes as long as a job takes with the kit you have, and costs you what it costs you to do it. Outers have different kit, faster climbers bigger trucks that might do it quicker but overheads are higher so so will there price so don't worry is someone else can do in a day what you need 2 to do it doesn't necessarily make them cheaper. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  18. Got 2 X 2013 saw and both running faultlessly (so far) after I had such a bad time with a 2012 saw that almost sent me back to the german side, mind you mine all run on aspen so fuel quality is no longer a considered problem. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  19. Definitely not burr material which is formed by adventishus buds(spelling dubious sorry) these as as said old stubs and pruning wounds that have sealed over from reaction wood or callous timber as some call it. Not worth a fortune but some hand carvers like it and depending on how sound the timber is in the centre some turners like em for strange off centre turning projects. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  20. Falcos? Chipped my helmet with the crane feed once.that was annoying as wasn't allowed out the tractor cab all day as was on a construction site so hats on out of cab policy, shame :-P sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  21. Iy that's the 1, can't be having the landed gentry getting chilly over the weekend can one sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  22. I suppose a chipper with a heavier fly would be better as smother and with the pto being driven through the gearbox as apposed direct from the engine you'll have the gears to progressively bring it up too speed. Disadvantaged is risk of overloading rear axle unless you find a trailed pto chipper. Bob, where did you get the pto box from and is yours the 7.5 ton model or the 5.2? Pictures? sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  23. Possibly not as tough as my stretch airs but much more comfortable. Hear you go bud, this is what I was doing at 9 last night when you text me. Emergency woodchip delivert:thumbup: With a bit of luck we might have some bracing to do in the bid cedar infront of the house. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  24. Not sure if the take off on these were ever intended to run anything requiring the amount of tork a chipper will as most had only a hydraulic pump or oversized alternator fitted. I'd be wary of doing this unless you have found someone who has and proved it works and the gear box is up to it. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  25. A fuel flat is nerveless finger spelling for falt, not my worsed miss spelling I'm sure :what: sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
