  1. That's as good as anything I'd say. This also works if your going to be dropping through a fork and introducing more friction into the system then returning to that point again ie when up and down doing a reduction. Hope that made sense. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  2. I ended up with this from a log splitter and like said hurt like hell but heald quite quickly and like last bloke said honey burn dressings promote healing and help keep infection away, might be worth asking you practice nurse about it when you go to get dressing changed. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  3. What do you reckon, is the fluting of the trunk an indication that the decay from the wound has travelled down and could be compromising the structure of this tree. Any ideas about the desicated fluting body? sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  4. Big beech butt jon. Made up the difference for not working friday! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  5. Yip, only road into a village complete blocked. Good old merripalus. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  6. Sort of today's started yesterday finished today, not bad for 3hrs work to clear the road, glad I took the Rb44 so it could winch the stem down the road and onto a wider verge, bigger than the picture makes it look as needed the 390xp with 28" bar to cut the main trunk. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  7. Needed a 45m rope as anchor point was 41m up and most people's ropes are only 37 which could result in a few bust legs and i would think it wouldn't take a lot to run the ropes through a pulley to improve the bend radius. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  8. Somewhere under that lot is a trolly, a good 9 armfuls in that lot, easily shifted by 1man, very sadly I worked out on that job we saved over 2km of brash dragging. As said on the right job indispensable but not ideal for tight gardens. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  9. Tub of hot soapy water, old toothbrush and a good scrub then a bit of graphite powder once dry. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  10. Twas very disorientating when you got to the top after having it all planed out from the bottom, after climbing on bluetongue and a pullysaver to go to a thicker rope and over a tight bend high friction anchor was very noticeable. Platform was sooooo slow compared to the 1ns I'm used too. Enjoyed the climb emensly but drowned the plumb line because I was rushing. Big thanks to everyone who organised it, silky for lending me his gopro and putting it up on YouTube and a lad who I never met before for lending me 4 carabiner after the gates on mine failed the safety check for mot closing fully:$ Cleaned then today and all good again sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  11. Just a soft sling girth hitched onto a crab to stop cross loading on your bridge and just long anough so you can reach the zz if you need to decend, good tip is to make sure you have a branch or fork to stand on when you reach your ankle point as you'll have to strop in to undo the sling and put the zz back in close. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  12. Is it an industrial unit/yard and so business rates to pay on top or included in rent? Can you make money from the space ie logs /mulch etc and so justify the cost more. All these are questions and more that I'm asking myself at the moment as about to take on a yard to run from. Still interested to hear what others pay and if it's worth it. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  13. Bet that comes with a hefty day rate! How far off full stick were you in the picture ed? sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  14. Graham, top lad, so modest with a sound head on his shoulder's and a lovely lass in tow to keep him under control. Definitely 1 to watch! Not yet an arbtalker but his good Lass says she will set him up so hopefully see something from him soon. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  15. Full roof that lifts up by about 30 degrees to increase the hight of the box at the back to the hight of the spout. Then drop back down for driving, also if you have barn doors it makes the back of the trucks a bit more secure if you have gear in there and need to nip into petrol station etc. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  16. Going to get 1 of them suit case silent Gennys for him to plug into and carry around on his back, fueled on aspen, naturally! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  17. Jon you left without the promised cuddle, best show iv been to in year's, nowt to do with what or where but all too do with who! Met some excellent people some like jon exactly as you expect, top bloke some like egg who aren't the obnoxious old git you imagine, far worse :-P Only joking ;-) Silky was like a big kid bouncing around with pictures being taken all the time but suffering from battery charging issues. Met so many people and glad I did, this industry is just full of carrickter 's which is what makes it grate but now after a 4.5 hr drive a quick beer shower and sleep! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.

  19. Nice too meet you dan, glad the fezzer made it with the timber slowing it down, keep them pictures coming and hope to catch up again soon sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  20. Depends how heavy your chip box and tipping gear adds up too, as each 1 is realistic a individual modified vehicle each will differ from the next so unless you put it on the scales it's an appointment guess. I work on the theory that full is about ok but 2.5 ton of chip approx and mine holds 7m ish so unless very wet it's ok. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  21. Had my.truck done nice and simple, who we are What we do and how to contact us Also got rear doors done so when cars are stuck behind me fully loaded.they know who is holding them up :-P Pound for pound it's the best advertising iv ever done and seemingly brings in a lot of enquiries sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  22. If your wanting something dry and seasond you might struggle as that's quite a lump for someone to store, I have a large lump of redwood that might do the tops but it's still in the round, Pm me a number and I'll give you a call about it. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.

  25. 520 inc vat but then if you want to chip into it you still have around 100 to spend Farting around filling in the gaps. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
