  1. Just watch some of Augustus hinckley and Bix vid on YouTube for some innovative camera. Ideas. Time laps I found every 10 gives a good show much more than this and it misses everything. As tree work is 80% getting ready 5% action. And 15% sorting out. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  2. Simply up yes. Anything to save the pull push of prussic or split tail climbing systems even if your only progressing 3ft something that tends easily can only be a energy saving thing. As said before having a small pulley tending the slack has been around in 1 form or another for a long time, think I started doing something similar in 2000 ish but with a small prussic loop and tool clip holding the pulley but was never an efficient system due to get binding nature of the blakes hitch and prussic knot . Then came the vt, knut, etc which changed everything as they opened out when progressed so took a ot less effort to tend. Good to know people are still thinking because without it we'd not progress but il be sticking to my zz till something better comes along. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  3. In your 1st pictures I take it both cheeks of the pully are held by the clip, if so how can you detach your rope to re anchor when climbing? Hitch climber on a orig system or just go full on and get a zigzag, check out some good threads on that on here. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.

  18. Local library? Round here the planning officer in charge of trees wasn't even aware it had been revised and had only heard of it but never actually seen it, scary ain't it! Sounds good Andrew I'll be giving them a call tomorrow as it's a handy thing to have when pricing and trying to tell customers that in con areas we need to work too, hold it out and show them.. Might help anyway. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  19. Well the recycling truck took 4 empty cans from the green box this morning without a 2nd glance so at least I'll shift a few like that now. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.

  24. Having been in contact with the very helpful lads in the service dep at greenmech hq about having problems with the stress control I'm putting it down to belts. Now they said it was most likely the tensioner spring seized but stripped that off and all ok full of grease but the bush I'm pointing at is extremely stiff to shift up and down so 1. Should it be? 2. If not how do I get it off to free it so the spring can do its job? Going to order new belts tomorrow as bit shiny on the sides. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  25. Not mine but if the lad who owns it decides too sell I'll be the 1st in line. Weight is around 200kg I think. But has very low ground pressure as wide tracks. Has a good winch on it to pull the trees up too it but have to tie the machine back to something or it gets dragged forwards. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
