  1. That'll be stealth slipping something in your coffee to make you run back and forth from the chipper : ) lol Hope your feeling better soon bud, Aaron had the lurgy too and ended up in hospital most off last week but back on form now. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  2. Same, won't deal with them, got a lightly used rg13 'demo' grinder who's clutch promptly disintegrated and they just shrugs shoulders with a tough it's a used machine what do you expect. Also had bad experiences renting orange chippers with little help from management. Not happy I now have to deal with them for greenmech  And mad it clear to greenmech what my feelings were! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  3. No no no keeping the spikes and getting a clapt out old rust bucket of a landy mount then training a younger person to where my spikes for me! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  4. Just signed up too do a 3 day first aid at work + F (forestry) lantra course which is tailored more towards what we will unfortunately eventually probably deal with in this industry. The arb aid training looks good as includes casualtie aerial rescue as part off it. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  5. That's why I'm looking at getting a landy mount, climb the top rig the brash, mewp the big timber to minimise spikes which hurt my duff knee with a big chainsaw hung off the back and then still tow a trailer home. Would still get in bigger machines when nessasery but would take the pressure off getting done in a day and used on those 'itd be handy' jobs insted of just the needed jobs. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  6. Kinda got too agree with that. Mr D, I use mewps quite a lot as sometimes just makes life easier also won a few jobs against a climb quote as pointed out that hse recommend if you can use em you should, just put yourself in your insurers side of things? Would you pay out if it all go's wrong and a safer alternative was available and access was not an issue? I understand some think rope is safer and in a lot of situations yes it is particularly when rigging broad crowns but on dead trees or big timber a mewp is just a know braine for me. Live to fight another day as they say! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  7. Now he knows you he will nock you out, think he was just being polite not ;-) Plus he wanted to camp next too us and not the arse paddling boys across the way! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  8. It's arrived, even my Mrs likes it now that is a high compliment! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  9. Now if only Disney could make that a feature length the world would be a better place ;-) sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  10. Gate might be a little wider than 3ft afterwards bit it'll fit! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  11. Going to have to write those words down some place, love it! Had to watch it again because I realised I didn't actually take in the visual as was concentrating to much on the words. Some excellent shots as usual. Take it the gopro didn't like the axe cam as shot stopped at moment of impact. Climb safe and record everything, keep em coming. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  12. Try epl access iv used them in Carlisle. 34m is a big mewp and only ever use this sort of size when getting close is a problem so need the outreach. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  13. Pass, starting to worry about the old boy, might go real world and text him.... sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  14. 550 for a mewp is quite a lot for the size you'll need to do that tree. I pay 600 for a 26m tracked mewp operated and 330 for a 22m cabstar Including vat. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  15. Landmark trading I think it came from http://www.landmarktrading.co.uk/ sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  16. Made from a old can you can pick up for about £15. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  17. Remember men in sheds rule the world -------- make 1! Might not look as good, last as long or do the same thing but it'll cost less so be reet. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  18. The bar can looks cool, could stash it among the old cans and noone would find my tinnys ;-) sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  19. That's a fisca high pruner, telescopic lopper thing. Excellent tool, just treated myself too 1 on pauls recommendation and it payed for itself in a morning by doing some little reductions all from the ground without balancing around on ladders. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  20. Don't think Mrs Smith would be happy if I turned up with that and tracked across her lawn. ;-) Certainly eats those trees, excellent land clearance machine! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  21. Quiet means he's up to something or ill still. Or has Mrs fox come to nurse him so otherwise engaged... sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  22. Na, got some little hinged picture hook type things too use. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  23. Nice dan! That's going to look awesome above the new workshop door once I get moved in and sorted. :-D sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  24. Depends how big you wana rig! I've spliced a dmm pinto rig onto 13mm tenex as a loopy, fits around 10" branches as a redirect and is so compact and lightweight to stuff into my ditty bag on the harness. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  25. Looks fairly easy too splice yourself, just a series of double locking brummel splices. Some good videos on YouTube on how too do them as mostly used on synthetic winch lines to terminate the line around a thimble. Honey brothers had some big tenex on the stand so you could order some from them and have a go. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
