  1. Hickup and toothless, think I enjoyed going to c it as much as kids did! Lovely work dan!
  2. Just messing She was coming down but tried to leave as much timber in the air so groundys went falling over it till the brash was sorted. The ha ha made chipping a pain as couldn't drive anything big across the lawns but we managed.
  3. Lift, reduce and crown thin 1 mature beech today, quite proud of it really :what:
  4. If the ground crew is struggling to clear what the climber is producing say so ask them to take 5when there somewhere comftabl and that works both ways too the climber, don't swamp them it's discouraging . Like just said communication is key as a groundsman if you are working with a new climber take 5min before starting and talk through what's going on and find out if they have any idiosyncrasy that could cause friction if misunderstood again works both ways. In my experience as both climber and groundsman the friction is nearly always caused by misunderstanding each outher or when the climber is in a precarious place and needs full attention and ain't getting it be it a line back so he can get it clipped on or needs eyeing in or is simply about to squish someone because they didn't look up. Most important tip from me LOOK UP AS MUCH AS YOU LOOK DOWN it might just save your life. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  5. Ah sorry didn't see the laugh after that, thought you were being serious as usual.
  6. To be fair that's not a primary safety feature that's failed it's just a piss poor little bracket that holds that spout in transport position and if once it's folded down you've tightened up the clamps like the instructions say it ain't going anywhere let alone going to kill someone, at worst scratch a bit of paint. I too often get back to the yard and find some twerp hasn't put the pin in and it's dropped.
  7. Long hill but not that steep and yes brakes worked fine but then iv always driven landys some series 1s so crap brakes are just normal too me.
  8. Radio ear defenders was my answer for a while which had the added bonus that I couldn't hear the trainees mindless drivel about who he didn't boink last Friday or what happened on towe . Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  9. Quite agree! I did get 70 out of mine, ain't doing that again!! Get some pictures up once you get it. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  10. 90 hp???? Ain't that going to be a bit gutless ! Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  11. No a problem with mine as it's 12volt so worth checking before you order a radio, if it's 12halfords have some DAB on offer at moment as about to get 1fir new landy so I can rock out as we wallow along. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  12. Newer 1s don't look nearly as tinny as the 1 I used 10years ago, hopper looks better designed and frame is definitely bigger section, good occasional use machine but no was a comershal fuel chip production machine as the are said to be.
  13. New boss??? Thanks for the kind comments Paul but as a kiwi mate used to say give a lazy man a hard job and he'll invent an easier way of doing it! Will give you a bell later on for a catch up as will need a hand on a few jobs soon. thanks Paul john
  14. Didn't think my spelling looked as it should but hay you managed to deciferate it. ;-)
  15. Little jancary from wilsons looks good, got a job next week that'll be using a 8" one so will take some photos are reported back.
  16. 14.5m up 6-7 outreach, main job will be dismantling the main stems of tree once iv climbed and rigged out the tops and basically speeding up anything where it can. Used it today on a tree that didn't need it but wanted to play so why not, easy done by 2 when it was down for a full day climb.
  17. Hardly a speck of rust on her as stored indoors all her life till I got it. 21 years old and less than 25kmiles.
  18. Just got it last night and the boy loves it, taken him right up and not bothered at all, wife started shaking about half way the woos!
  19. Favourite time of year for photography as well, lights just so much more fun to work with. Two from last year. Going to make more effort this year to have a few hrs hear and there too seek out good photos.
  20. Definitely had that autumn feel with us this morning as well. Favourite time of year!
  21. Flat carm this morning but has that crisp clear fall feeling in the air Nice!
  22. For a second I was thinking you was man machine matty ;-) It's like anything, you get goodns and baduns. Just look at scoda years ago a laffing joke and now a leading car manufacturer because they listens and improved which I guess is what timberwolf are doing, good for them. Every time a manufacturer raises the bar others have to follow which can only be good for us as consumers/uses of these machines making it easier and more afficiant to do what we do!
  23. A smidgen over 6 with my home brew sides
