  1. Do ian. Its been a lifesaver for me over the years. A great bunch of guys, and some good laughs
  2. bandit is a better machine if you can stretch to it. Good parts backup from what i have heard.
  3. i got caught with something similar. Claimed it was for a childrens charity. They said if i didnt pay i was "taking money away from sick children" The moral of the story is do not answer a withheld number. Let it go to voicemail. If its genuine they leave a message! I also like to interrupt them and say "if this conversation ends with me having to give you money for something, i am not interested" that usually does the trick
  4. Pavingexpert - The Brew Cabin -Topic::Geofix really that bad? Pavingexpert - The Brew Cabin -Topic::Geofix - opinions!?
  5. Avoid at all costs. Over on paving expert where I am a member, this topic has been done to death. It does not last the course. If you want a product that you can sweep in, use easijoint. It needs to be wet to use it so ideal if its raining. Have used it for three years now, without any come back.
  6. Only messing. I have a brochure. You seemed busy to me ! Price on that demo grinder?
  7. I loved the machine from the walkaround given. just on the weight saving alone, it stands out.I went to global stand and was interested in the stump grinder, but no one was interested in me, so i left:confused1:
  8. I am getting excited as saltex opens in a few hours !
  9. thats a sensible move. not everyone can go or want to go to apf, especially since its costs to get in. saltex is free and much more widely attended!
  10. Timberwolf said its not going to be at saltex tomorrow, yet lister wilder will have one on their stand, so not actually making its debut at apf!
  11. Greenmech have moved on with some of their features where timberwolf have stayed still. If you look on greenmech website at the way you can access everything and there are greasable bearings inside, plus there is a choice of engines on the machine you want. The engine on the timberwolf is exposed and noisier, on the greenmech its all covered in. that also helps to stop the air filter clogging so easily. The greenmech is slightly heavier, and still under the 750kg weight. The fuel tank holds nine more litres too.
  12. Personally, and I do not own either, I would go for the greenmech. I have been looking into it for future, and judging by what others have said, especially regarding longevity of bearings, then greenmech seems to be the winner. I like the fact the blades can be turned three times before sharpening too.
  13. Yes it should. You can also uno the snapped bit by using a small torx bit.
  14. Sounds like its snapped off . I get this trouble a lot on my tracked dumper. I find sticking a stihl screwdriver into it means you can usually remove the broken piece, then just screw in a new one.
  15. smaller wheels wear out quicker, but give you a lower loading height on the trailer, larger wheels, higher height, last longer
  16. Oh dear, what have i started?
  17. Tru, but if the item ends at stupid oclock, then its the best thing to beat them!
  18. What you need to do is download auction sniper. It bids for you when there is 5 seconds left, which means no look ne has got time to outbid you. You set the max amount you want to pay, and forget about it till the auction ends!
  19. I think there has been too many urban myths surrounding it. The classic "it gums up the chimney" is my all time favourite. Had a customer complain his wood spat, it was birch and oak. Sold him some leyllandii, and he never complained again! Though he did run out of firewood quicker so I sold him some more!
  20. I know someone experienced who might be able to help, but he is in hemel. Shall I ask for you?
  21. They are very good in the right conditions. Must not be too wet. personally I would suggest that if it is an old lawn, removing the turf first would be better. if I had the money, I would buy one. I used one for a job and the results were first class. You do end up with a pile of stones and trash to get rid of. you could consider a camon stoneburier, which will also give good results, without the need to rake up the stones, and then use the blec. That would be the rolls royce of jobs. Once you have the two wheeled tractor, the attachments will all interchange. go for a diesel if you can. More torque
  22. Looks good in practice. Will see if they are at saltex
  23. i have given up on greenplant. been trying to hire a stump grinder from them for the past month, and they keep saying they have one at guildford if i want to collect it. Bit pointless advertising a branch in hemel that has nothing to hire!! might try them again if they have one though
  24. Has anyone got experience of the large timberwolf shredder? the TW S426TDHB. not thinking of using it for treework, but for dealing with hedgecuttings, small stumps and wood waste, especially fencing Having great difficulties round here getting rid of mixed waste. I took some hedge cuttings and fencing to the transfer station and they refused it as it had hedgecuttings in it. the other place wouldnt take it as the fence had ivy on it, and the greenwaste site would not take it as it had fencing in it. I cannot help thinking if it was shredded up and mixed, how would they know it was once fencing?? Trying to find somewhere that would take it for biomass, but its proving difficult. I can see why people have burn sites now!!
