  1. I used to work in a kitchen for a bit as a kitchen porter and believe me some of the stuff that goes on is too gross to even think about censoring from these kitchen nightmares from hell programmes:scared1:

dan, you've opened a big can of worms with that comment of yours.
  3. wearing no ring at all doesn't stop degloving if the digit is crushed as the two edges of whatever is trapping it can deglove the finger, i know somebody who had a partial degloving of his finger just from it being trapped between two rollers at a printworks and he was told if he'd had a ring on it might have saved his finger. two sides to every coin, dave: but wearing a glove does stop anything catching behind the ring unless its a thorny tree. I wear an sos talisman bracelet and always make sure it is under the cuff of my gloves. Sorry for the rederail
  4. wear gloves? possible solution
  5. almost like the sign at a hospital: For family planning, please use rear entrance.

    Scary

khriss, i think your prescrpition of four pints of OP a day should be supplemented by two pints of riggwelter before bed. but seriously, just drink loads of clear liquids and fruit juice. only one problem with that---
  7. in his school plimsolls
  8. Softbankshawk, have you always been at Writtle Park? I used to work at writtle park and ingatestone hall for lord petre about 5/6 years ago when Arthur Morgan-moore was the head gardener.
  9. A lad i know got pulled by the police as he was towing a twinaxled trailer behind a navara and it was full of hay bales, he was told he had to leave it there and go and get his dad to tow it to wherever it was going and back to the farm yet he can drive a tractor with a big grain trailer or a combine without any hassle:confused1:
  10. EA = environment agency:wink:
  11. Just been thinking (v painful!!) about Land rover's decision to shift freelander production to halewood from Solihull; the reason they gave was to make room for a new production line but i had the thought that maybe they liked the RR, Disco and Defender being called Solihull's finest but were a bit embarresed about the freelander:001_tongue:
  12. Try jo ryan at treesource- belting on line bookshop for all books tree related. If you can't understand some of the stuff that Klaus Mattheck talks about, he wrote a book called Stupsi explains, it looks like a kids book but explains his theories in laymans terms.
  13. Ed, i take it you got better again then after running away.
  14. JJG, i know where you're coming from on what you said. I suffer with epilepsy (not good for arb i know:scared1:) but there are a few epilepsy jokes out there that people think are in poor taste and act very sheepish if they tell them and i'm in earshot but i probably laugh the loudest at them.
  15. He'd fit right in amongst the premiership footballers:001_tongue:
  16. Sorry to hear of your loss pete. I would consider having a word with the trade body for funeral directors as i'm pretty sure they have a code of practice and that somewhere in there will be something about respecting the vulnerability of the bereaved.
  17. Just like our lads in the armed forces to show up the americans etc:001_cool:
  18. I think a few gallons of St Peter's finest quaffing juice is called for there mate and some clean stretch airs. Seriously though glad you're ok, could have been really nasty by sound of it.
  19. You could try a firm called visionalert, they seem to be quite good and reasonably priced.
  20. Freshly cut yew is toxic to any animal with a basic digestive system ie horses and cows etc but i think this is just the foliage IRR.
  21. Is there a scottish trade fair type thing? What are the odds that this is how the aa trade fair started out? I suppose the royal highland show is probably the nearest thing is it? or scotsturf?
  22. belting little machine for domestic work and smaller stuff on site clearances, run it alongside a tw190trvgt or the tw shredder
  23. Spoken to my mum about this who is a trained nursery nurse and she can't tolerate water on her face as it causes some sort of allergic reaction. She suggests standing at side of bath without his shirt on, leaning forward over the bath with a face cloth over his eyes if he wants, put water in the bath and use a small cup or jug to pour water over his head, as little shampoo as poss, let him rub the shampoo into his hair and play with the lather as he can stand up to do this and look in the mirror etc and then rinse off with him stood over the bath again. Doing it this way he probably won't freak out at having a bath if he associates having a bath with his hair being washed as he still has clothes on when he has his hair washed. Hope this helps. It worked for me until i went to boarding school with cold showers every morning!
