  1. five chestnuts have just been removed near me due to this. Shame really as they were nice big specimens.
  2. i voted land cruiser which as a die hard fan of the green oval was difficult to do but i believe it is the lesser of two evils.
  3. would it be someone like Laing O'Rourke or Murphy as they have been dooing a lot of gas work lately. They were near us last year laying the pipeline from Milford Haven to the rest of the country. Unfortunately followed by the itinerant community, mind you they did a lovely job of covering their tracks.
  4. the one near the readymix plant?
  5. looks a bit like babar the elephant.
  6. which fence? the one they had to rebuild as the posts had cracked? only joking dean, but seriously which fence as there are about 50 different fences.
  7. there's some nice windblow just after the vosa test station.
  8. was that over at HMP Rudgate ian? have you seen the trees in the british library grounds?
  9. gronda gronda ron dag:001_tongue:
  10. spike milligan could write some very amusing McGonagall-esque poetry Can a parrot, Eat a carrot, standing on its head, surely if i did that, i'd be sent straight upstairs to bed
  11. doogy rev:001_tongue:

    Yorkshire

definitely the welsh when you look at their names, whoever heard of a yorkshire man called emris:sneaky2:
  13. what self respecting professional arborist would get totally wazzocked at a trade show, this is totally unheard of:001_tongue: unless of course its somebody's birthday and that is total justification for being out of your tree (pun intended) don't you think steve?
  14. the program you're thinking of had a game where the clue was an anagram of dragon iirc and it always finished with a game that involved the vortex. it was presented by moira stewart. I seem to recall it being called just plainly The space game
  15. for some strange reason, i get a copy dropped on my doormat and i haven't even subscribed:confused1: not that i'm complaining, its a great magazine esp the i don't believe it section at the back. The one a couple of months ago about the bloke who took his chainsaw on a plane as hand luggage and it leaking petrol was a classic.
  16. i find there are often some good articles in there tcd and not just relating to sports turf either. does your copy just drop through the letterbox then or do you subscribe?
  17. i'd have thought once was enough to convince you silky + rope = fall but six times; must have been the shock . Seriously though pete good on you for doing this; am i alone in thinking there should be a section showing all the different tests that have been done by members (either intentional or unintentional but not resulting in hospitilisation or requiring medical attention)?
  18. you could try one of trilo's tow behind blower/vacuums. They use them after concerts and stuff. if its council just get them to put one of their little sweeper wagons over it.
  19. i think the phrase you're looking for dave is "fear lent him wings":001_tongue: or is it red bull gives you wings i can't quite remember.
  20. working reet champion in t'west riding lads.
  21. you were warned about mentioning the orange brand and championing them, orange and grey will prevail. honestly though have you checked your internet provider.
  22. i meant at the same time matt:confused1: Hows the landy running?
  23. At the yorkshire show last year thay had man vs machine felling and snedding and crosscutting. Also two blokes racing each other to fell a pole as close to a balloon on a stick as possible. Kids were picked from the audience to put the balloon where they wanted to (within reason) and got a t shirt (sponsored by oregon or something). Bazbro was there and did a couple of demos with the boxer and a remote controlled carlton stumper. There was also some lads doing greenwoodworking and some others demoing a big heizohack chipper, all at different points in the day of course apart rom the green woodworking.

  25. like frank says it depends on the situation. Apparently on the railways it's full orange now and full yellow on the roads although leeds ciy council highways lads still seem to be wearing orange and yellow:confused1:
