i've just shafted myself big time with a laurel that turned out to be about 8 foot across and extremely limited access to the back of the hedge (hedge is next to a fence and has a load of rubbish piled up behind it:sneaky2:). Hedge to be reduced to about 6ft from about 10ft but i didn't look at the hedge properly as i couldn't get in to see it properly at the time of quoting so i put in a price that i now realise is totally stupid but i also needed the work:blushing:. popped into my local on way home today and being asked for my card by a local builder who lives in the village and wants some trees removing and some others pruning so fingers crossed that comes off.

odds on the bar will work to usual licensing hours unlike a certain travel lodge bar (eh justin:sneaky2:). I think that Holiday Inn bars are open throughout the night and they are next door to pubs to get a decent meal at night.

i've seen mistletoe in the lake district before now but not sure if it'll still be there.

I feel that i can now add my ha'penny's worth after reading this thread and i have realised that i am in pretty much the same boat as a few people are/ have been. If it hadn't been for the fact that i saw a psychologist whilst i was at school for what turned out to be very deep seated emotional problems regarding the death of my dad when i was only very small and being bullied a lot, i would probably have been trying out how strong my knot tying was and i wouldn't be here today and enjoying the company of arbtalk and the many friends i have made on here and have yet to make. A few years ago i went through a very very lean patch and i hit the beer big time, 7/8 pints a night and probably more on a weekend and i suddenly realised that it wasn't doing me any good and then i had a patch of good luck, i sorted my act out and got a girlfriend and the business is now running smoothly again but it's still making a bit of a loss but i know that that is surmountable through my own efforts but i know not to bottle it all up inside me now and i'll talk to my friends down the local and on here if i need advice. thanks for this thread stevie, i'll try and buy you a cider at the aa.

what about something like pressure washing drives and patios? transit with an ibc of water and a petrol or diesel pressure washer and a numpty to operate.

what are you complaining for? you've got half the tree surgeons in the north descending on your woods next week so you can relax then and have a few beers. As for the tenner in your card, it's probably been nicked by the e-posty.
