  1. tom got a irish yew butt about three foot dia and three foot high (roughly); what sort of price should i be asking for it as the grain is beautifully tight. any advice gratefully accepted. penfold.

  2. ian, i've got an irish yew butt that is about two feet across and about three feet tall min. what sort of price would a piece of yew that big fetch? considering selling it to a turner or carver, just not sure on how to price it. penfold.

  5. rather sad in that i've still got all my britains 1:32 scale farm models in a big cardboard box in their original boxes, they have been played with. just waiting to get a house big enough to turn the loft into my own 1:32 scale farmville:001_tongue:

  8. i use a cream called anthisan which is for any insect bites or stings so is quite useful for anyone working outdoors. i'm sure we're all responsible enough not to break hse guidelines about first aid kits aren't we?

  11. i've had a good start to the new year as i asked the girlfriend to marry me and she has said yes. i have even managed to convert her to arbtalk:biggrin:. Her profile name is Arbbird but known to me as sheila.

  20. not always rupe but they did always have the alpine windows in the roof.
  21. rob, like i said its best to try all sorts of harnesses as what is comfy for one person just annoys the living daylights out of another. if you go for a harness for beginners i think the universal choice are the willans harnesses either full body or sit and go from there. after using a willans you appreciate all other harnesses.
