Morning, A while ago tried to buy the land we currently use. Rent is zero but we must look after the old girls garden which is large and so a cost all of it's own. Here in Frenchy France it's all complicated because a widow has 50% of the estate and the kids (4) have the rest but can't act on it without EVERY-ONES agreement. We had negociated a price for agricultural land and everything was in place to start the process when one of her sons got cold feet and decided that it 'could' be building land in the future and so upped the price to that of building land today. So we went from 2k to 150k overnight! Even though the local council say that it is unlikely in a generation that it will be ever building land. So we backed out and a few weeks later found another bigger plot of land with better buildings for 12k and we sign very soon on that one. Ty
