They have pumped loads into schools and health care which created plenty of work for the private centre ie construction, materials etc etc. Sure start centres. Working tax credits. The best thing they do though is dissolve power, that created loads of public sector jobs which will be going as the Tories are bringing it all back to London where they can have a lot more control. I get all my info from the Daily Star so I can't be completely sure its 100% accurate. Did you know to get a worthwhile pension we need to put a third of our earnings into a private pension? Wonder how many of us can do that!!

I think your first port of call is to find out who owns the tree. Although, who removed the tree and whole did they send the bill to? Regardless of the condition of the tree you need to be awarded the costs of damage to your property and youre inconvince.

I wouldnt perform a proper reduction without one. Actually I would use a 3120 if it would start! Thats like a rat trap but without the main components.

Rat traps are the best. You can actually see that the mouse was trying to eek the bit of chocolate off the spike before it got whacked. Some muppet once said to me that where there is one mouse there are seven mice. By my calculations by the time you have seen one mouse they have quadtruplimillioned into loads more.

It is an interesting thread. To me it shows the obvious split not between public and private sector workers but the split between the self employed/business owners and public sector workers. We have all heard both sides, "Well it must be great to run your own business and decide who you work for and when"...... "It must be great to have a secure income knowing you are getting paid £xxxx every week" etc, etc. Although a self employed/business owner I certainly dont agree with the tory way of doing things and think they will truly be the downfall of this country and destroy a hell of a lot of good Labour have done. Well unless you are the multi millionaires that the tories cater for. The tories want to move everything into the private sector which is no good for the common working man, which I am. As for Clarkson, stupid use of words, "Shoot them all"

Excellent. A bit gutting to think there is no tpo when too many scabby old syc's and pops have one. Although the tree owner sounds like a good bloke so a big major plus and definitely worth more than just a tpo!

Listening to people that say..... they used to be a tree surgeon, they used to climb trees as a kid and could do the job if they had the gear, they have done the hard bit but the ladders wouldn't go any higher, they were going to do it themselves but thought its best left to a professional blah blah blag blag bollocks. That and dragging brash and timber through a tiny little gap people like to call their garden.

Great if that's one thing fixed, well sort of but stihl shouldn't send them out like that in the first place Anyway, isn't that the first to check with a saw, I always run a hand over the top of the chain to make sure its tensioned up ok. I would have thought this would show up quite easily?

I thought that in general wood had a MC of around 19-20% and it would stabilise at that. Therefore isnt it pointless getting any lower unless its vacuum packed and used immediately after opening?

Along time ago one of the lads I worked with(while subbing) brought his dog into work one day, thats all it lasted, one day. He and his dog would have been found dead under a pile of chip if he had tried it again. I could see no problem if they are out working in the woods on their own but not on domestic with other lads in the van.

Maybe it was a public sector worker who thought... "Stuff this teaching job for a laugh I'm going to go and earn my own money doing a proper job, no one can complain about me then" If they had only pruned the sides it would have been 10x better! -

The petzl ball lock ones aren't too bad but it is best you try one out first as they can be fiddlely to some. Anyway shouldn't you still be using a screwgate? I always preferred those over the three way but I am now so used to three way krabs I would probably launch myself out of a tree if I tried with the good old screwgate again!

With this thread and others about the 201 it does sound like a hell of alot are either having trouble with the saw or just don't rate it compared to the 020. Maybe husky are doing the right thing by pissing about making sure its right first time!!

Nearly always use a ladder for access into the crown, only because it's more professional than using spikes. Hardly ever use them to work off, only really when it can't be done from climbing or when its alot quicker.
