  1. Made all the difference in tha tug of war though:thumbup:
  2. Medium mate. They are zero stretch so you need some space to move. I think they do made to measure too.
  3. Hi Paddy, we would be available for £180 for the first hour and £60 per hour after that, our grinder isn't great on stumps in corners but will be ok if they are in the open.

  4. Still impressed with the smock Mark. I have a couple of army goretex ones, they aren't great, even after re-proofing.
  5. I did, it was part of a big job, I missread the spec and dismantled it when it only needed a crown clean. I was more annoyed at spending 3 hours in the tree when it could have been 30 mins. TD Tree & Land Services Ltd.
  6. looks like a kiddies pedal car with you sat on it, I reckon if you roll it your head will be higher than the roll bar. LOL
  7. So there's nothing official to deal with this situaton? It's down to me to make a case either way? TD Tree & Land Services Ltd.
  8. What sort of trailer is it, I reckon your average ifor would be plenty strong enough.
  9. I'm a bit busy at the moment for log deliveries, i have a few hundred tons of mixed stuff in the yard right now. If you are interested in collecting it you can have as much as you want for the right price, i could lend you a trailer if you have something to pull it with. Are you in the firewood business? i am looking for someone to buy my wood wholesale, possibly even split it in my yard with my splitter and then sell it giving me a share.
  10. I understand all the above points, however in this situation the existing building is very close to the trees, any new development will be well within the RPZ. As the trees are part of a group there is no scope for bending the RPZ. The basic questin is: either the RPZ still applies and therefore no development can take place or it doesn't apply and its good to go so long as it remains within the footprint of the existing structure.?
  11. I have the BS, I am just being lazy, I have never come accross this situation before.
  12. A friend of my sisters was competing this year in the birtish one, I dont know how he got on, his name is Tom but I cant remember his sirname now.
  13. I have been asked for advice on some trees near a proposed development, There is already a building on site, the footprint of the new development is entirely within the footprint of the existing structure. It is also within the root protection zones of two trees one of which is in perfect health and will almost definately have to stay. So given that the RPZ's are already built on is there a requirement to consider them with the new building? The logical answer is no. My gut feeling is no. But does anyone know the official line? Thanks in advance.
  14. I beleive platyphyllos is more hairy on the underside of the leaf where the petiole joins the lamina, cordata is smooth I think, europea should be somewhere in between. I'd say yours was platy. Europea has more epicormic too I think.
  15. get some ag tyres on her, be hard to stop then.
  16. I just bought the field smock for climbing and walking etc, same materials but less pockets and less cash, I paid £90 for mine. Its very good. Waterproof Field Smock - Country Covers
  17. Vert nice mate, I have done that splice before, its well hard.
  18. Never tried one, but if its anything like the big rotovators then I would agree. Do you have the wee trailer for it?
  19. I like a high boot, these are awesome, maybe a little warm for summer use. Totally water proof, I have walked all day in 8" of wet slush, feet warm and dry throughout. Highly recommended. Lowa Boots Hunter Extreme GTX Boots :: Army Navy Store
  20. I can recommend igland, I have a 4201 42KN one. All these winches are hard to find second hand though, I waited a long time for mine to come up. The tajfun / unaforest ones aren't too dear new, maybe look out for an ex demo or a show special offer.
  21. From memory it doesn't look dirty. I did wonder if it is fitted with either the wrong clutch or wrong shoes. I have been meaning to look at it for about 6 years, lol.
  22. There's an old one in my shed that has done exactly that, I can't really see why either, unless there's something else wrong, its one that I was given, engine runs fine, but clutch is bound solid. I have never got round to having a propper look tbh.
