  1. For me it just shows the youtube square with a picture in it.. no link.. spooky mac thing
  2. Go to the you tube page that you want, in the web bar at the top... highlight the whole web address... then press Control+C. you now have a copy of it... then go to arbtalk and go to the bit where you write in the text. then press control+V this should paste the you tube page on to arb talk. Good luck old cock.
  3. I just highlight then copy the web address from the bar at the top then paste it into arbtalk. LIke this: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgX5BfzhQ7o]YouTube - Wood Stack[/ame]
  4. I'm afraid it's probably a removal job. Roots are super invasive, a buildings inspector once told a client of mine that if they took out a gum tree that was about 20m away, then they wouldn't have to sink the foundations more than the normal.
  5. A good set of terms and conditions cover most eventualities, and when you make your next mistake you can then add that to your T&C's. You can always have a set of T&C's and offer people a copy of it if they ask for it. Good Luck
  6. Mini diggers cost hardly anything compared to what they can do, especially if you hire for 1+week.
  7. Will have a go at that. Suppose multi strop is okay for that as well, as you said. Time management.
  8. Don't you have to screw d.shackles up.. With Krabs they just clip in.. speed is the essence here. I think I need to say as all the above have stated that this is for lighter branches. I double wrap them either side of a side branch to prevent slippage. The idea of using steel krabs is a very good idea.
  9. My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding DateTimeChannel Thursday 18 February 9pm Channel 4
  10. I was up a tree yesterday lowering stuff off by rope, as you do, and I thought I would share this with you. It's basically tying a Karabina to the end of your lowering rope, so you don't have to tie knots, you just wrap and clip in. I hadn't come across this till someone from Australia showed me. It's so simple yet save hours, or am I being a bit stupid and everyone else is doing it.
  11. Also, when there are a bunch of horse chestnut leaves on the ground in the wet and cars drive over them you get soap bubbles. You can use the leaves as soap... if your really desperate.
  12. I did that once and they all died on me.... but regenerated. They are freeking heavy and that root ball goes down about 3'. Oh how we laughed.
  13. Whoah.... Did he mod that cab out especially? you know with the guns and the camera.. bad yet cool.
  14. USED IVECO 4X4 TIPPER - Vehicles for sale £ 6000 I know its an old shaped one but.....
  15. I've got a camon SG13 which is basically a rayco. You get them from Westcon equipment down dorset way-ish. As you say they pay for themselves. When I brought it, it was a really good investment as you could just finish the job then get paid. We are in london and I win many jobs as they fit through the house. They are hard work but not as hard a digging it out!
  16. It's like you get these people saying they are from x council and would you like to advertise in the book that goes out to all the people putting planning apps in... no your not from the council.. rack off mate And while we are at it.. as you say the charity mob... just leave me alone, I have work to do!
  17. Apparently this is the way to really wind them up. You keep them on the line for around 10 minutes then just return then hang up, don't say anything. They get really wound up because they can't hang up and get on with another call. Also never blow whistles down the phone otherwise you will have their lawyers on to you.
  18. Hadn't climbed for a while so i took the reasonable lime.... jeez it was big. Anyway this is London from Fulham looking into town. No I can't recognise any landmarks either. Ahh I just noticed that's Earls Court just next to the blue tower... it's the dome.
  19. Had a call from a directory called BTD -Business Trade Directory, offering to put me in touch with business for 2.5% commission. Sounded not too bad then they said it would cost £200 to input all my info on to the computer, that's when alarm bells started ringing.. So I checked them out on some website ... and yes they are another bunch of con merchants like ufindus.com etc etc. So avoid them.. you have been warned. Read this it goes through with complete accuracy their exact patter. Have you been called by The Building Trades Database yet? Beware! - UK Business Forums
  20. I thought you were going to do something with a bottle OF jack to help the day away.. haha. That usually helps loads too.
