  6. The traffic is slow, I think it looks a lot faster than it is, when the traffic is stopped it's safe as no one can move lane. The beast is a 20 year old Honda Cub 90. I've taken the wing mirrors off, it's a pure town bike. I was buzzing after that ride, hadn't been on the bike for 4-5months.
  7. Did yer like that.... do you want more?

  12. Just watched a program on one of the bbc channels... about unemployed people... one guy hadn't worked for 7 years, they got him knocking on doors just asking for work. Now you've got a skill, I know there's a few people that do their business that way. Just go and do it, look smart talk to people leave your phone number. Just do it, you have nothing to lose, and if you do a good job that's where you reputation starts.
  13. Fart around under the branches and this could happen... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-aM1SX8d2Q]YouTube - Long Beach Tree Rescue -- February 17, 2009[/ame] I think the whole lot slipped down like rings...Hard core!
  14. Why don't you apply with one of the big LA's sub contractors, Gristwood and Toms or Salceys, who will then get you your certs in house... just a thought. Perhaps look at the stress thread on here, lot of good people on here with some good thoughts.
  15. Both ends of me climbing rope- Old Skool.
  16. I know that a load of pro's ( the thirty something mob!) that think they are invincible and will cut one handed with their arm above the bar, then one day it kicks back.... I'm guilty of this and had to make a real effort to to retain myself and not do this.. So the moral is use it one handed but please just think what you are doing, eg where the kick back is going to go!!!!
  17. I did a straw poll a couple of years ago when I asked all my customers ( for 2 months) where they found my number.. and only 2 in 2 months found me from the YP.. and looking into it, they are no the sort of clients you want! I think I'm saving 13k a year from not advertising in YP of Thompkins ( or what ever their called)
  18. It's not mine but I thought it was cool and you might like to see it...
  19. Don't you do the tree surgeon squint?
  20. Probably as above... It's a dead wood saprophyte. Means it will only grow on dead wood..
