  1. This is my brand new 50mb/s cable internet.. it was up at around 16mb/s for the first few days, and then this, some scouse git (no offence) was trying to explain to me that that was in fact what I am paying for and that it's not faster broadband it's just everyone in the house will get that and it won't slow down.... git git git..... damn I'm going to ring them up again. Oh, and this is quite fast compared to what it has been at!!!
  2. Nice one Tone! Your photo's always come out so well. Do you just know the name's of all these fungi, or do you look them up?
  3. You could make some more greedy boards:001_tt2:
  4. for the over 40's... can we bring our ladders?
  5. It' COD 4 with out the death.
  6. They seem really dried out and dirty, because of where they were. but quite normal apart from that.I looked at some on wiki... now they were weird!
  7. I'm in Ealing too! Do you have your own transport? or maybe you want to cadge a lift with me up to a dealer some day
  8. I don't ever buy from them, but I don't tell them where to go just in case I need something desperately on a weekend or something. I shall pm you a couple of names in a minute
  9. the other thing to do is get a few prices. then approach your local dealer and ask him to match it.
  10. Hey Richie, where are you. Perhaps I can pm a few dealers in london ish.
  11. I'm sure I listed this before, then a few people on here slagged them off as another of the big companies that pay you crap money with loads of work. I have not experienced them but connaughts are a plc company who only work for their shareholders, and they only get there with crap prices! But as they say, it's definitely a job and it's definitely experience!
  12. Thought I had better put these on this thread too. These were on a wall half way down a 40m alley way devoid of any plant material.. As David mentioned they are probably have eau d'canine all over them. I've only ever had fresh morel in the Himalaya in India... jeez they were good, didn't touch these ones:thumbup:
  13. I was walking was down an alley in west london and I saw what I thought was a turd, but it was stuck to the wall... then I took a closer look, as you do, and I couldn't believe my eyes... are they what I think they are?
  14. I think google are about to do a free directional sat nav for your phones, that's why you can now buy tomtom's real cheap. I have the 750 with live services, but I do live in london, the few times that it has made me avoid big traffic jams have been invaluable. Also the new software for the maps and directions are really good.
  15. Apparently moose are great for pulling carts.... till they see water, then you just can't stop them!
  16. It seems to be all or nothing don't it! But then it's always been like that. £100 on a bit of sign writing is the best advertising by far. Don't forget you have probably minimal overheads (at the moment) so you really have nothing to loose, and everything to gain. Don't forget we are here for advise!
  17. Got a link there old chap?
  18. It takes forever on the boat (2.5hrs and that's only to westminster) as there are speed limits until you get into town. If you get the tube into london then you can hit the faster boat from westminster to greenwich (30mins I think)
  19. Not my choice but.... Used Nissan X-Trail 4x4 Car Review - Summary - What Car?
  20. Used Subaru Legacy Estate Car Review - Summary - What Car?
  21. There is an amazingly huge (must be 16' across!!)sweet chestnut in chiswick, just up the road from kew. It's in the rear of a block of flats in Bolton road W4. You can walk down their drive into the rear garden.. if your coming from the south i think it's the 3rd building on the left. it's a brown 70's build. Take some photos of it and post it!
  22. I mean BIG! in this context! Blossoms are out in full force at the moment. Will get my thinking head on for other stuff.... MonkeyD, on here, works on Hampstead Heath for the Corporation of London. Bet there will be some good stuff there+ stunning views towards London. Green Park and St James park next to buckingham palace are very pretty.. not sure about the trees... there are lots of them, not sure if they are any special ones, but will be close to where you are staying. If I can think of anything else I shall post it.
  23. when you've finished Kew pop down to the river in Richmond there's a few pubs next to the bridge and next to that there are some munter plane trees! then up to Richmond park as alliaria says. Ask sean on here... he works on the trees in the park. Where are you going in london?
