  1. And I think garmin do a gps with a camera in it. Any experience with that, still £300+
  2. Hi I have geotagging capabilities on my Blackberry, and would like to get the crews a couple of geotagging cameras. Has any one used a dedicated geotagging camera?
  3. :biggrin:people say to me can I pay up front, I say no as I won't return:biggrin:
  4. I recently had a 17" and it was heavy now got a 15"and it has good size real estate yet not too bulky.
  5. Looks like one of those chainsaws they use in the rain forests, with their safety flip-flops on.
  6. If it doesn't have to be a laptop, the iMac is also worth considering. Oh My GOD. the new iMac (27"). It's huge but my god the screen on it. It's seriously shed loads of computer for the price, and you can wall mount it. By the way - don't be tempted to get the 17" laptop as it's really heavy and cumbersome and doesn't have a good resale value if you want to trade it in. Also make sure you have house insurance to cove the screen on a macbook pro as they are built in and cost £600+ to replace. Almost the cost of the computer!
  7. Mac- old chap. Or a mac and a pc if you can't get away from them - but never connect it to the internet Haha. Your in London aren't you? You can visit, in north london the Mac Fix It Centre. They have refurb machines and will give you a years warranty, Plus you can then get a 2year warranty off of eBay fro around 70 quid, and seeing as it's a laptop it's a world wide warranty. Get a 15" Macbook pro with a relatively fast processor. Apple website has all the info for transferring from pc to mac. Then you can start being just like all the other smug mac owner and bleat around town about how good it is and how you never get virus's etc etc blahblahblah.
  8. Hi I know that a vehicle over 3.5t needs an 'O' licence, but is a vehicle under 7.5t non hgv, thus not restricted by all off the laws associated. Hear from all you good people soon.
  9. Plus they did 14 TPO'd trees with a 12 grand fine, when the permissible amount is up to 20 grand per tree... Now that would be a message and a half!
  10. Is that all their fine was, I don't think that sends out a clear message, not when you look into their profit margins, or maybe it does. What do you think?
  11. Cheers people, I think you've all put my mind in the direction I wanted to go - Steer clear and keep some of my hair (through stress!!!) Cheers
  12. Hi All Hope your all great. Been asked to reduce a tree next to networks rail lines. Will presume it requires night work, line shut down etc etc... Is it worth all the H&S. I suspect that is going to be a serious nightmare, and we're not lightly to do it again for a couple of years. And the client will pay but then think we are too expensive for future work and ditch us. What do you reckon guys and gals Adam:thumbup:
  13. Hi All We are still looking for a climber to work in London. They would need to be able to do crown reductions and hold the relevant nptc qualifications. 2-3 years experience in the industry and 1 year climbing would be an advantage. You don't have to have a driving licence. We have work through to February next year, with more in the pipeline, but need to start getting on top of it asap. Please reply to me if you are interested. Adam
  14. You put a plaster on dirty hands.... you scumbag:thumbup:
  15. Alex Reid? you can come and work for me but only if you cross dress on wednesdays. I would have a job for you but I am in London.
  16. Subject: Maths Assignments Through the Years............ 1. Teaching Maths In 1970 A logger sells a truckload of timber for £100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit? 2. Teaching Maths In 1980 A logger sells a truckload of timber for £100. His cost of production is 80% of the price. What is his profit? 3. Teaching Maths In 1990 A logger sells a truckload of timber for £100. His cost of production is £80. How much was his profit? 4. Teaching Maths In 2000 A logger sells a truckload of timber for £100. His cost of production is £80 and his profit is £20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20. 5. Teaching Maths In 2005 A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habit of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. Your assignment: Discuss how the birds and squirrels might feel as the logger cut down their homes just for a measly profit of £20. 6. Teaching Maths In 2009 A logger is arrested for trying to cut down a tree in case it may be offensive to religious groups not consulted in the felling licence. He is also fined a £100 as his chainsaw is in breach of Health and Safety legislation as it deemed too dangerous and could cut something. He has used the chainsaw for over 20 years w ithout incident however he does not have the correct cert ificate of competence and is therefore considered to be a recidivist and habitual criminal. His DNA is sampled and his details circulated throughout all government agencies. He protests and is taken to court and fined another £100 because he is such an easy target. When he is released he returns to find gypsies have cut down half his wood to build a camp on his land. He tries to throw them off but is arrested, prosecuted for harassing an ethnic minority, imprisoned and fined a further £100. While he is in jail the gypsies cut down the rest of his wood and sell it on the black market for £100 cash. They also have a leaving BBQ of squirrel and pheasant, and depart leaving behind several tonnes of rubbish and asbestos sheeting. The forester on release i s warned that failure to clear the fly tipped rubbish immediately at his own cost is an offence. He complains and is arrested for environmental pollution, breach of the peace and invoiced £12,000 plus VAT for safe disposal costs by a regulated government contractor. Your assignment: How many times is the logger going to have to be arrested and fined before he realises that he is never going to make £20 profit by hard work, give up, sign onto the dole and live off the state for the rest of his life? 7. Teaching Maths In 2010 A logger doesn‚t sell a lorry load of timber because he can‚t get a loan to buy a new lorry because his bank has spent all his and their money on a derivative of securitised debt related to sub- prime mortgages in Alabama and lost the lot with only some government money left to pay a few million pound bonuses to their senior directors and the traders who made the biggest losses. The logger struggles to pay the £1,200 road tax on his old lorry, however, as it was built in the 1970s it no longer meets the emissions regulations and he is forced to scrap it. Some Bulgarian loggers buy the lorry from the scrap merchant and put it back on the road. They undercut everyone on price for haulage and send their cash back home, while claiming unemployment for themselves and their relatives. If questioned they speak no English and it is easier to deport them at the governments expense. Following their holiday back home they return to the UK with different names and fresh girls and start again. The logger protests, is accused of being a bigoted racist and as his name is on the side of his old lorry he is forced to pay £1,500 registration fees as a gang master. The Government borrows more money to pay more to the bankers as bonus's are not cheap. The parliamentarians feel they are missing out and claim the difference on expenses and allowances. You do the maths. 8. Teaching Maths 2017 أ المسجل تبيع حموله شاحنة من الخشب من اجل 100 دولار. صاحب تكلفة الانتاج من الثمن. ما هو الربح له؟
  17. Also where are you going to rope in to next time, and as rupe says it will be flat topped if it was removed, I think it will cascade quite nicely in about a year.
  18. I haven't used Greenmech for years. So I shall withdraw my comments on them. I have BC150 Vermeers 6" chippers with a 9" opening... makes it a proper 6" chipper where you don't have to process the wood quote so much. Sometimes they muck about a bit, but when they go.. they really go.http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/images/smiliesmodern/drool.gif
