    Reserved occupation...and hard graft.
  2. 30% crown reduction and ivy crown clean - what a difference clearing ivy makes!
  3. I don't get what all the aggro between leave and stay is. The vote was for whether you want a British government or a European one. Everyone should respect each other's opinion, but we voted to leave...if people feel strongly about being under a federal European government - go and live there. As for the negotiations, the EU are unwilling to let us leave without punishment, naturally. It needs strong, sensible leadership to come away favourably....which we don't have.
  4. I just thought it chipped better. My CS100 does the trick though and the trailer is well handy. We put 15 litres of petrol in it on the last job we did...a big re-pollard. All the cordwood and chip stayed on site and the machine literally ran all day long. It was the most snedding I've done for years!
  5. 90 days?...no thanks!
  6. you could be right there. I've had it for about 15 years or so and only had to use it twice through small claims court. I find the threat of it enough. I do exactly what you suggested for Estate Agents, when I can bother my arse to quote for them, they seem to regard non-payment as some kind of sport
  7. TBHmate, I've used the JoBeau M4oo and I found it was a better machine. They are hard to come by second hand though and I thought the spares would be easier to get hold of. This popped up on Ebay and I snapped it up. we've only had it a couple of months.
  8. I have a 25% surcharge on overdue accounts in my T and Cs....14 days on domestic work, 28 days on commercial....pay late, pay more.
  9. I miss my old Disco....great drive [emoji1360]
  10. no mate, we were dog-sitting for Jes...he made a great little guide dog for Jasper!
  11. New boy due to join the crew this week [emoji16]
  12. It happens. Worry about your own price and stick to your guns. Don't go in cheaper 'because your quicker/better' etc. There's always someone quicker and better than what we think we are. I just priced a big job up and got undercut by £11k...walk away and let them make their own cross....
  13. I cant remember mate, but the subtle hint of being beaten like a ginger stepchild seemed to have the desired effect....
  14. I've had similar, a young lad roaring about in a fastrac with big trailers on, forced me off the road once. I mentioned it at the yard and a few of the blokes had similar stories. i passed a message onto him via the farm saying if he did it to me again, I'd come around to their yard and beat the crap out of him. It worked. Silly boys need deterence sometimes.
  15. Ive got two...I got a new one at the Arbshow, but found my gonads were getting squashed....even with the new attachable seat. So I managed to get hold of one of the last Sequoia swings, which I used for bigger climbs, the other for conifers and takedowns. I'm now happy, my gonads are also happy
  16. my first saw!. These things were heavy, compared to an 020t, but they had grunt. They didnt work too well in heavy rain as I recall. I ended up putting a 16" bar on mine and using it as a ground saw! (before that became officially naughty)....
  17. Echo all the way...great machine, great value and 100% reliable. My only gripe is the low quality plastic in the handguard.
  18. well, I'm 53, no pension, still climbing (although not everyday these days..and this is my current exit strategy!
  19. I'm the product of Anglo-Scottish liaison...my Dad was from Kilmarnock!. I'm glad that Scots voted to remain in the Union, but somewhat disappointed they voted to stay in the EU. In answer to the question, if the Scots wanted Independence, they would of voted for it. Scotland would be another poor EU Nation if they broke away from the UK (in my opinion). The Catalans are different. They would probably be better off, they are 16% of Spains population contributing 25% of the Nations GDP. Breaking Sovereign European nations into Independent regions is not the way forward economically, even if its what the people in those regions desire. Spain would break up if the Catalans left...no doubt the Basques are thinking of kicking off again already. I'm glad the Scots voted in a referendum and I'm glad we got the chance to vote to stay or leave the EU. The results of both referendums should be respected by all, they were supported by British Constitutional rights. The Catalan vote is outside of the Spanish Constitution and is not respected by the Spanish Government, or the majority of the Spanish people. Its a tricky one.
  20. Spain is not Britain...their civil war was fought within living memory (just about). I pity the Catalans and their obvious desire for independence....but I also get the Spanish desire for National unity. Spain is not in a good place economically - they have sold their souls to a Federal Europe...there's no going back now for them. Catalonia produces 25% of Spain's GDP...no wonder the Goverment is doing everything it can to maintain National unity...without them Spain would undoubtedly collapse.
