  1. It's all pretty silly. Why would a clothing brand put a racist advert out?...for a start, it won't make them money. The truth is, adverts like this have to have a certain number of black/Asian whatever people in them. This little lad was probably photographed wearing dozens of items of clothing that day. Because the photographer and ad designers were NOT racist, they didn't see the potential of offence...it's just a young lad, probably a 'cheeky monkey' to boot. What a sad little world it is becoming....
  2. What I'd really like, is a 4x4 Iveco daily or a Toyota Landcruiser tipper...but they are on the verge of being mythical beasts. (He he! That just spellchecked itself to '4x4 I've come daily' [emoji38])
  3. Most days at my yard. We do a lot of work for the Wildlife trust, so we do a lot of off road stuff. If I didn't need it, would I have it?....no [emoji52]
  4. Ah, the left blame the right and the right blame the left...the media feeds us with whatever propaganda they get paid for...and the big nobs who pull the strings, earn $billions - and steer the World towards Globalised control.....and we all lived happily ever after [emoji850]
  5. If you don't do off road work or need to to 3.5tons of wood regularly...don't get one [emoji16]
  6. Hopkins uses all this rhetoric as a way of publicising herself. Time will tell whether her anti-Islamic stance is correct. The truth is somewhere in the middle. We are not on the verge of adopting Sharia law in the U.K. and making our Mums wear burkas, the Muslim population of Britain is still only 6%. There is however, a lot of appeasement going on generally. Anyone who thinks you can open the borders of Europe to unchecked migration and not expect violence, is naive in the extreme. We have got an extreme security problem...which at the moment, is being successfully countered. Thank the security personnel who defend you...not the people you elect.
  7. we were using a Stanley PTO splitter years ago, I was cutting and my mate was splitting. One log popped and hit my mate in the face, breaking his cheek. On monday morning, we turned up to work to see the guard fitted back on...we didnt know it had one!. Another fella I worked with lost the tip of his finger using a splitter one handed. He turned back up for work the next week and found the missing tip of his finger in his glove!! Use two hands!
  8. Ha ha!. My 130 has BFG MTs on, I haven't got it stuck once in the last year. The 90 has continental ATs on and has been pulled out a couple of times. This is more due to the fact the woods are much drier than usual more than anything else!
  9. Welcome to the 'don't get stuck' club [emoji41][emoji1360]
  10. The answer is, you pay for what you get with good freelance climbers. If you can't/won't rig and don't have your own kit, you pay the going rate. Option two is do it yourself with your own kit.
  11. My mate had his done on Friday, was climbing Monday! I had mine done just before Xmas. The port nad was done by a noted Pakistani Doctor - no problems, unfortunately, the starboard nad was done by an Egyption trainee doctor. I had a gonad like a space hopper for a week or two. At least when I went back to the Doc, I got the chance to use the line 'we're not going to hurt each other, are we Doctor?' Prior to the examination [emoji856]
  12. I got a couple of sets of this stuff a few years ago. It's excellent and with cleaning and waterproof treatment..is still 100% waterproof [emoji1360] http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/shop/jackets/royal-navy-goretex-jacket-grade-1123353.html
  13. Spud did a muffler mod and tune up on my lads 360tes...it's an improvement, but it's still no ms200t!
  14. We wear green tees in gardens and hi viz orange tees roadside or on woodland jobs. Sometimes I tell the Groundie's to put one on if visibility is bad for the climber. Putting on a hi viz is a lot less painful than being hit by a lump of tree!
  15. You hit the nail on the head. No, they're not as quick cutting, but reliability wise they are 100% better than anything else. My verdict on the machines I now run/use Cs390 - excellent lightweight saw Cs450 - a bit heavy, underpowered. Cs501 - good all rounder, poor air filter Cs620 - excellent mid range felling saw Cs8002 - heavy, but good machine for medium felling Cs280tes - disappointing in weight and power. Ok as a back up saw. Cs360tes - good, steady top handle saw, a bit heavy in the hand balance wise Cs2511tes - outstanding light pruning saw, especially with ms150 running gear [emoji1360] Another downside of Echo is the availability of spares, hopefully this is something that's being resolved. These machines start on the first pull, as do all their hedge trimmers, which are lighter and out perform the other machines I run. Although I put performance and reliability over cost, they are all cheaper than Stihl/Husqvarna machines too.
  16. Totally agree with this. I run two landies...the older they are...the more £££ you will throw at them...like most work vehicles. Spending less than £15k on a 130 tipper is going to cost a few grand a year to keep it going.
  17. Have a nice Christmas! ?
  18. well, fella's, sorry I've caused a few dummies to get spat out....I'm just going by personal experience. No doubt I'll buy one or both of these saw models a year or two after they have released them...and sorted out all the problems that will undoubtedly accompany them. What saws do I use?...not newly released models from Stihl or Husqvarna! (since I bought a new MS261c, a 550xp and an MS201tc...all of which have been sent back to the dealer more than twice).
  19. I can't wait for his wise words of wisdom my words of wisdom are always available to those who are in obvious need of them my friend
  20. I'd never buy a new Stihl or Husky product again. Everything seems to come with teething problems...usually carb related. Don't they field test these days???[emoji19]
  21. 2 years out of Pfanner...9-12 months out of anything else. Expensive buy that saves money in the long run.
  22. the Welsh Nationalists are the prime suspects!
  23. yay!!!!, light mornings and evenings on their way at last!. I've had enough of head torches, fumbling keybunches, reversing into concrete posts and running about trying to get jobs done before being plunged into primeval darkness!....
  24. thats good service. Ive been climbing a mk3 for a couple of years now and had no issues...
