  4. Bob, wait till early December. They are bring out the new streamlined 27" iMac. It is a desktop but the screen is awesome. Or you after a MacBook?
  5. Cheers Mick, it is a quality jacket. Very impressed with it so far.
  6. Just aswell Dutchie ate it - I was starving by that point.
  7. Nice pics Ross, shame about the sling. Should have just wrapped the rope around it and clipped it back on itself with a krab. (Sorry couldnt resist) How bit was the piece for the 2.5 t strop to go?
  8. Andy, I used to look up to you as a woodsman... not sure I can anymore after you have just come out in the post above.:001_tt2:
  9. If I had to choose between the Zubat or Gomtaro, I would go for the Sugoi every time.
  10. Peppermint tea? Pfft, next thing you'll be weaving yoghurt! Camomile all the way for me.
  11. No, Mark is just extremely small. :001_tt2:
  12. I don't think the stump would have been rotten when it was grafted.
  13. haha, I did see your other post, just I reposted it in here once I had found the thread. It is one of my saws Steve has worked on in the past and yes it has been a bit finicky. BUT has been running sweet for the 5-6 months.
  14. Cheers, that was my plan. Didnt want to start screwing with it until I had tried the regular mix.
  15. One of the firms I work with has changed from the red 2 stroke oil to green. My modded and tuned 200t runs terrible when using this fuel. I haven't had a chance to run some regular 2 stroke mix through it yet but will be tomorrow. Would this effect it in any way, ie should I tweak the carb with the new fuel. Apparently the change in oil was brought about by the 4 mix hedgetrimmers coking up the plugs and cutting out all the time. Any thoughts Steve or Garden kit?
  16. Not directly Aspen related but one of the firms I work with has changed from the red 2 stroke oil to green. My modded and tuned 200t runs terrible when using this fuel. 17. No, it is just a tree. Albeit a big one. Good work Ross, shame to see it go but safe and healthy is of paramount importance
  18. Onesies - RedCafe.net Onesies.
  19. 5.25 :thumbup1: Really enjoyed that video. Thanks for taking the time to post it.
  20. Went back to finish the ash job. Decided to pretension the pieces with a block and tackle for one of the stems. Snatched the other stem.
  21. Bolam to translate? Haha. I hope there on a Sunday to pay double time cos that's how long Bolams translator will need to decifer him.
  22. According to the instructions the safe working load is 2000kg when cut into the tree. The bollard is provided with rubber feet if you are retaining the tree but the load is reduced to 500kg. I shaved the sides as my lower sling was about 6 inches too short, so I made the but a bit narrower.
  23. The truck is a Renault. It managed, just . It did ok until he tried to reverse up to the chipper. So I positioned it with the Nav. Yes Robert it is an Armadillo roll back. Does the job. That little Quad chip did ok today. First time I have seen one in use and it did the biz!
  24. Not my job mate, only contract climbing. Ideal for the fell into the paddock but the landlord of the property wanted it dismantled and the fell would have probabley knackered the retaining wall between the gardens and the paddock. Easy enough day, finished by 2pm, home by 2.15. Literally it was 2 miles from my house. Back tomorrow for more of the same. You keeping busy Max?
  25. Picked up a few bits and pieces from Fr Jones. Impact block, 60m 16mm polydine rope and thought I would try out the newish RC2001, 2t fixed bollard. Tree was reduced about 3 years ago so all regrowth was just cut and chucked and then rigged the tips and timber. Took it easy as there was 2 days in the job. Had a truck load of chip, dumped in the paddock and a truck load of logs. Back tomorrow to finish off. The RC2001 is a great tool, lighter than the 3001 but rock solid when snatching timber. Took a few big bits to get worn in but once going it was fine.
