  1. Just be grateful they came clean over the phone and you have not wasted time and fuel going to site. These total muppets are becoming more and more common.
  2. You've not lived!!!!!!!!!
  3. I prefer the short gaffs, I tried the long ones once it was climbing in stilettos!!!
  4. Fountains used to pay a "saw allowance" of £1.40 per hour, this money was not taxed as far as I know.
  5. What are the roofs like in Brazil????????????????
  6. Here you go Tony Roofing Talk - Professional Roofing Contractors Forum, Photos, Reviews, and Blogs | Roofing Talk
  7. I think its a firewood business.
  8. Yes that chainsaw proof boot polish is real important
  9. You need to test with your finger off the trigger, no one is going to keep cutting after they have hit their foot.
  10. My haix boots are 100% water proof, I've worn them in snow and ankle deep in rivers all day long and always had totally dry feet.

  12. Does £1400 include the tipping gear or is that just a body???
  13. Good point Stan, people bitch about firms without tickets or insurance, but then admit to being overloaded most days
  14. Would something like this be of interest, very clever idea http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/news/42327-introducing-new-pro-tipper.html

  17. I think its a transit engine.
  18. PPE is only there to "give you a chance", saws are dangerous and need to be used accordingly. Personally I don't want to be made to wear PPE thats any more restrictive than the current equipment, which it would need to be to offer more protection. TBH I'm surprised that people think our PPE offers more protection than it does.
  19. Shame your not nearer to me, I would have had one.
  20. Indeed, this would have been my first move. In fact had I been the OP I would have responded on the CB there and then, why receive this information right from the "horses mouth" so to speak and not confront him immediately???
  21. Exactly, so why waste ones all to sort life doing paper work that in actual fact changes nothing.
  22. So your written quote says "stumps down to 4" from ground level", you pack up and clean up, the customer comes out and says they would like them a bit lower if possible. Would you refer to the quote and refuse to cut them lower or ask for more money????
  23. When I say owned I of cause mean "by the business".
  24. That just never happens to me, but I'm always very specific about what we're doing before we start.
  25. I just don't get why people feel the need to scare munger about so called "cowboys". It becomes like the boy who cried wolf. Lets just stick to facts.
