  1. I'd forget it and move on. The guy is clearly a pompous prat (I bet he's on the parish council, probably chair) the vast majority of people with any sense will see him for what he is and despise him as much as we do, so they hold his opinion in very low regard. If you try to get an apology or any other redress its just going to add publicity to this uneducated and pathetic little man.
  2. Indeed, but thats not law, firms can insist every one on site wears pink if they so wish, its their site and their money, so their rules
  3. Black smoke would suggest unburnt oil, so incomplete combustion.
  4. You can get them done if you so wish. Some firms have H&S polices that are above and beyond whats legally required.
  5. Big snotty butts are good too, ideally Pops full of nails.
  6. Maybe what work you do, if you many do pruning or small tree removals or all your customers keep the timber. I can bring home 10 ton of timber and all the chip and the chipper, a large tree is normally a one day job for two of us, thats not possible with a landy.
  7. Any asset that you paid VAT on and still own when you go VAT registered you can claim the VAT back, not sure how many years you can go back.
  8. Its what you will start charging once a unimog vastly improves your turnover and profit
  9. Bit fiddley, but not difficult. Put the spring in, then assemble the mechanism, tension the spring by putting the pull cord into the cut out in the wheel and putting raps on. Not expelling it very well, sorry.
  10. Alex Price did hire out Heizo's, not sure if he still does, but if he doesn't I'm sure he can put you onto some one who does.
  11. You must have some really narrow drives round your way mate, I don't think I've ever had a drive I could not get my mog down due to width, hight tends to be more of an issue. My mog will go any where a transit will and many places a transit won't.
  12. I guess you are asking what dimensions or length and width most customers prefer their logs to be. The english language is great, there are normally many different words for the same thing;)
  13. Forwarders don't need testing, as far as I'm aware.
  14. A mog will do anything a landy can, but there are many, many things that a mog can do that a landy can't.
  15. My understanding was that the hole is so small that compression within the timber closes it once the drill is removed.
  16. Defiantly the APF and hopefully Justin's.
  17. Hehehe, I thought exactly the same thing mate
  18. This may be a bit of an issue with 900/1100, but not really with the square cabs, I've had chippers on the front of my mogs for 10 years and never had a problem with kingpins, of cause greasing is important. The thing with putting the chipper up front is it spreads the weight better, if your chipper is on the rear and you then fill the chip box with chip, all that weight is on the rear axel.
