  1. A tree on the conservatory Which episode was that?????????? I'm sure I've seen them all, but I did not see that one
  2. Nonsense, IMO. Also if you are cutting correctly a BC should not hit you in the face, your head should be no where near the back of the stem and you can chase the hinge and still be well away from the tree when it hits the deck (provided you saw is sharp)
  3. Please give just one documented account of this happening please
  4. Why were you not chasing the hinge???
  5. What if he just does that with number now???
  6. Almost never do written quotes or a job spec, just hand shake every job. In 18 years I've only had one customer try it on. Had a guy today, looked at the job £550+VAT, guy was happy, he asked if I put things in writing, "nope" I say and shake his hand, tell him I'm a man of my word. "Well if thats good enough for MR X, thats good enough for me" he replied (I'd been recommended to him my Mr X) I always run through the job with them on the day we are doing it, if they try to change things, I pull them up on it, but it very rarely happens. People are aways happy and away pay, no problem
  7. Fair do's, did not know that from your first post
  8. So............ is this really him???????
  9. It had a fault went I first got it, it just meant it did not work some times, that was sorted under warranty, since then its worked perfectly (for over 2 years) If it goes wrong you can move the servo's manually to aline the axle and then it locks there. The hand brake is interesting and can be a bit of a pain occasionally.
  10. Its hydraulic, air and electric, there is a switch on the dash to select, crab or arctic, it automatically locks out if you accessed 20 KPH. It has a double ended hydraulic ram on the rear axle.
  11. I've had to rescue plenty of landys with my Mog And a neighbour of mine rescued a farmers defender with his Suzuki SJ10
  12. Yes four wheel steering, arctic (front and rear in different directions) or crab (both axles in same direction)
  13. Moss will collect sand and grit that is blown in the wind and this will blunt the saw. Even bark collects grit and sand, sawmills normally pressure wash butts before sawing. Many mills have a seperait blade that removes bark in front of the main blade.
  14. No, U1200's are 7.5 ton, same as a U1000, some of the older U1250's are 10 ton. I'm pretty sure U1500's are 11.5 ton and U1600's are mostly the same, although mines only 10.5 ton, but thats because it has two front axles, as its 4WS. These are GVW's. A U1500 will weigh about 6 ton empty, a U1600 nearer 5 ton.

    MB Trac?

You would have a hell of a lot between you and the front of the chipper. A mog with front mount is not great for getting out at some road junctions, but this would be far worse.
  16. But it can make you a funny shape.
