  1. Thats the good bit, we did a job for a Co, they asked us to do extras and agreed to pay, but when I sent the invoice they would not pay all the extra amount. They rang recently asking for more work doing, I pointed out they had shafted me once and letting them do it to me again would be pretty foolish on my part. "What about cash this time??" they asked, "No thanks" was my reply
  2. Those hours sound pretty reasonable to me, what hours had you intended to work?
  3. That was HUGE!!! Some great pic's there!! Thanks for taking the time to post!!
  4. Not far from me there are Limes and few Oaks, planted to commemorate the battle of Waterloo. Many are planted in straight lines, but there are some in circles. They are said to represent the officers that fought in the great battle.
  5. Sugar is pure poison, I try to avoid it as much as possible, adding it to drinks is just madness, IMO. In the not to distant future people will look back at our sugar filled diet and wonder what on earth were we thinking.
  6. Get on the end and take some weight off.
  7. Twinning's liquorice tea.
  8. Often they just need the choke flicking on and off before you pull it.
  9. Are you saying "Pine" is not a conifer??? Looks like Leylandii to me
  10. Really pleased to read you have received recognition for you excellent service!!! I was very pleased with the price you gave me when I first moved to you a couple of years ago, I was even more happy when I unfortunately had to make a claim due to a theft and you dealt with it without fuss or hassle and were very fare. After my claim I was anticipating a huge hike in my premiums when renewal came round, but after a discussion about me taking measure to prevent the same type of theft occurring again my premium remained pretty much the same. I have been more than satisfied by your service and have recommend you many other tree lads, several of whom I know have be delighted by your rates!! Please keep up this excellent service!!!
  11. I'm not sure term and conditions on an invoice can be in anyway legally binding. Presumably the works already been completed when you send the invoice, so if the client is not happy to accept your terms what can they do? They can't ask you to not to carry out the work, so they are not given a chance to agree or disagree with your terms. Any payment terms would need to be set out at the quote or estimate stage and you would really need to get some acknowledgement from them for it to be legally binding.

    Unimog tyres?

Make sure you get tyres with the correct speed rating, some fit cheaper ag tyres that are only rated to 40 or 50KMPH
  13. IMO, a decent company would diagnose the fault and then start negotiations with the client about who covers what % of the bill, IME this shower just want your cash when your buying, then wash their hands of you once the funds have cleared
  14. I'm not sure he expect them to go to the machine, but would send the machine to the dealer to be sorted, the dealer has said he will be billed for the repair. In his shoes I'd be pretty ticked off too, I have dealt this particular Co myself, but I will never deal with them again:thumbdown:and I go out of my way to discourage others from using them.
  15. I was watching that, but the listing looked pretty suspect to me, please tell me you have not paid by bank transfer??????
  16. Does this machine not have fault codes?? My palfinger crane had a radio control fault, there are 2 windows with digital displays, numbers flash up when the fault occurs, you simply ring the dealer with the numbers and they tell you the problem and the cost of the fix. The 4wheel steering on my mog is exactly the same, with fault codes, etc.
  17. I think he means sugar, its really nasty stuff.
  18. Thats a very cool machine, although the crane is pretty small, what will it lift??? I've been extracting large hardwood from a very inaccessible site, had to winch the timber twice and then load onto my timber trailer, the winch mog and trailer up a very steep track. That dumper would have been great, but some of the lumps were touching 3T so don't think that crane would have been much help.
  19. My guess would be they don't want all the future work of cutting back all the huge Willow that would result.
  20. Sure beats concrete if you do fall
  21. Yes we are mate I find I am very seldom staving as I used to be, my energy levels are good and consistent. I really don't think I have ever felt better.
  22. I know what you mean Dean, I have sent out two invoices last week, one for £4,350+VAT and one for £6,600+VAT. Neither is late yet, I hope they both pay within 30 days, but as you say most private clients pay on completion or with a day or two which is great!!
