  1. I'm on my second one. Use it all the time but am quite thin so suits well. The only minor issue I have is the waste band could be thicker which would make it more comfortable
  2. I'm looking for someone to undertake a Picus or drill on a single tree about 5 miles from junction 27 of the M6. If anyone is either interested or knows anyone please either PM or phone 07970521692. Looking for it doing ASAP. Please phone no later than 9pm.
  3. I will measure the size of the box when I eventually get to work. Might even post a pic or two
  4. Mine weighs 2 empty. Double springs at rear. With a tonne of chip carries it well. At 2 tonne (not that I've gone it honest) is on its limit and rolls alot. Holds about 4 cube of chip.
  5. Both my 200tdis start first spin with no heater plugs used to well below freezing. One plug isn't even attached on the tipper
  6. Topping no problem I'm a bit wary about facing up when frost imminent. I've killed on hedge but that was a 80% reduction and cut back when minus 8. The rest however have survived.
  7. Ascender wise get a pantin. The pantin and zz together work really well specially on an 11.7 rope and cambium saver
  8. Trust me the mark 2 crack has nothing to do with cross loading. Mine was never cross loaded and still cracked. Petzl have admitted the links aren't beefy enough and the steel too hardened
  9. You have the right to object to the TPO. If the TPO wasn't confirmed after objections no replant would be required. If however it was confirmed then a normal TPO app will have applied which would have in the conditions with regards a replant. It is only at TPO app rejection when you appeal the decision.
  10. I got mine with it. The attachment is purely to keep it upright and doesn't act in loading. I find it perfectly adequate
  11. Guess you are working down towards colwick park. Supposedly you are meant to leave and burn on site not practical in your situation. I would clarify it with forestry commission
  12. I never use a file guide or I didn't as I have given in for the 150. The teeth and file are too small for me to freehand sharpen well
  13. Experience tells me the above I did a couple of winters coal bagging and delivering.
  14. That's almost as good as a coalman cutting down trees. You need a bunker to store the coal. You need a loader to load into a bagging bunker. You then need to be proficient in filling the bags yes there is a technique. You need scales that will be checked by trading standards etc. You would also need significant capital to buy arctic amounts of coal. By a pallet load see if it sells.
  15. Forestry is ultimately about profit. It is agriculture but with trees. Commercial forestry aimed purely at profit will not care about habitat etc as has been demonstrated by plantation monocultures
  16. Have some horse chestnut I could do with getting rid of tommorow in Ormskirk. Could easily fill a tipper or two. PM or phone if interested 07970 521692 please don't phone after 10pm.
  17. Quake closely followed by doom
  18. My bandit hb20 has cost another 60ish quid a year on my current premium new for old. My total premium is about 340 a year which is 3k of saws etc a tw150 and the hb20. Through arborisk
  19. Mesh goggles are fantastic much better than a visor.
  20. Anytime. It may "bleed" a bit spring and autumn as sap rises and falls
  21. No tool box but will hold roughly 4-5 cubic metres. Whether that is legal is another issue though
  22. Consent needed unless highways have issued a notice that trees are causing an obstruction in which case it overrides the need for consenr
  23. My zigzag also broke today but on one of the mid links. Used solidly for 6 months and treated with respect never dropped or cross loaded. Sending mine back tomorrow. A replacement every 6 months would keep loler happy at least.
  24. If it is not stated on the group order it shouldn't be covered
  25. I've ran out with mine but only because I was being stupid thinking I chip with less than an inch in the bottom of the tank.
