  1. Nice pics mate! Good idea to have a second anchor and means of decent though.
  2. If you are going to do an engine swap, consider removing the cab.Its not a big job with a hiab and once its off taking the engine out with said hiab or minidigger would be little trouble. I recently removed the cab on mine,I coded all the air and electric connections as well as photographing them.It made it a breeze to reconnect everything when you have codes and a lap top to veiw the pictures.
  3. Well done you and your groundy for keeping cool! Hope you heal fast!
  4. Nothing wrong with the Harness if you don't have Genitals or any nerve endings.
  5. Knocked out the day early by doing half of the work yesterday. There is not enough fine weather here not to have a short day now and then!
  6. Sounds really good Pete!Have you any idea of the BHP?Sometimes Tractor or Truck places have Dynometers, you might get it on one of them for the price of a few Pints.
  7. What size Engine does it have in it Peter? Are you planning any "mods"?
  8. Did you just take the backsteaks? To be fair I think this one and its mate jumped the fence at the Safari park down the Valley from this picture.
  9. I bought my Mog ex Council from Germany.I went over there a few times looking for one and ended up spending 30% more than I had intended. They are complicated expensive machines and I felt more comfortable buying one off a established dealer than some bloke with one for sale. Like any vehicle the more you pay the better you seem to get. Unless you do the fixing yoourself, they can get expensive very fast.
  10. That looks very smart Tom.I enjoyed the pictures of the loading and attempted unloading! How long does the Oak have to season before you can bring it inside? We are getting some milled before the end of the summer and I would also like to make a Table. The Oak has been sitting outside as logs for about a year. I am worried that once milled, and brought inside it may crack to bits.
  11. Buzz could lend you some Cement. Probably fix it.
  12. If you put a Condom full of Diesel down a bore hole and then the charge, the Blast Mat catches on fire. Its worth doing just to see.
  13. I used to work in a Forest back home that had alot of Volcanic ash in the soil. This would enter the saw and knacker the rings. We used to dip a finger in Grease and run it around the inside of the aircleaner housing. It works like a precleaner and alot the the fine stuff would stick to that. Some guys would also stuff the aircleaner into the sock part of Panty Hose and tie it off. The saws did last longer.
  14. I used to have to wash my kit before I came home from the States.Mostly it would be covered in sap and seeds could stick to that and annoy the Customs Gents.I would cover it in Butter and lay it in an empty Bath.Leave it for a few hours, then scrub the Butter off with hand cleaner. Seemed to work well.
  15. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6pzxZUXXjU&feature=PlayList&p=4A73A98152E7008D&index=1]YouTube - Supertramp - Dreamer (Live at Queen Mary College-BBC, 1977)[/ame] I wish you luck my freind.
  16. Yeah, met guy who had TV quality equipment. He filmed it in "HD" you can watch it in that on "Youtube" I like to do my wing cuts with a silky as there is less chance of nicking the Rope.I nomally tie the peice on right after I have Gobbed it.I don't really bother with wing cuts on hardwood.Euc being the exception.

  18. Just take it slow mate, your not going to do anything fast in the Rain except get wet. Good quality raingear makes all the difference to me.I have a semi dry suit jacket,it cost a bomb but my Torso never gets wet.
  19. I grafted my tits off for about 10 years. Easy.
  20. It is true that the role of the armed forces is to protect the UK and her allies. However unless you want soldiers fighting the enemy in the Streets of your homeland, then you have to fight them in the Streets of theirs.
  21. I won't be taking it into the Woods for that very reason. Also it might dirty the Tyres and dull the Chrome on my Valve caps. Not to mention all the nast Animals that I might encounter in the woods. Supermarket car parks and public roads onlt thankyou.
  22. I think you should get a Mog.Because your getting into serious Tree Work and if you turn up in an LDV who will let you fell the second biggest Tree in Europe now you have decked the biggest one?
  23. I will if my mate can get the paint mixed to match the Mog.Buying that BRG colour here in Norway is pricey.
  24. Should have read the instruction booklet.Buggar. Thanks for the info though.I will have a look at the cylinders when I take the wheels off.
