  1. Lamb tonight, beef tomorrow. Mind you, tonight it is Lamb Rogan Josh!
  2. Strewth! Sorry to hear of your terrible loss at this time of year. Be strong for all those around you.
  3. Is Mr Bulman putting the Arbtalk banner up on the inside of the fence and turning it into an Arbtalk do?

    Bad Haircut!

Went to the barbers the other day, the usual fellow is booked up so had to have it done by the skinny bird in the back room who I did not rate last time but hey ho, get it done. Number2 all over including the bald bits, tapered into the neck, removing ear hair and neck hair while you at it and I'm not bothered what your kids Scarlet and Kira are getting of their respective dads thankyou. A mate told me yesterday that she has left a strip about 5mm wide and 30mm long at the back of my head! Don't I feel the muppet now!
  5. Hmm, I think I need to ask someone for a copy. Last years was a tad strange, not absolute mingers but not my type if you know what I mean.
  6. Your right Mozza - the auction is for the effects of Treeworks, the supplier/hire co from Queensferry.
  7. I'm a salesman - my phone is always switched on. You never know.................................. Plus - those of you who know me can ring me for service advice etc anything except marital advice! Enjoy the break folks - best regards to you all.
  8. Nice work John. Best regards to you and yours. Enjoy the break.
  9. Does the machine vibrate much? They have a habit of loosing a chunk of off the alloy paddles which then does the bearings and sometimes shaft. As previous posters say, check for movement back and forth with a lever and up and down, remove the belts first.
  10. I don't have a wife so I'm the only one to blame for the bad cooking in my house! Usually the food is good and occasionally, sublime. That is when I stop at the takeaway in the village:sneaky2:
  11. Ben Collins was shot down big style. Whether he deserved it or not is for a different discussion. But it would not have been in the typical TG genre if they did not mention it. Good show!
  12. Best advice - enjoy it! Wished I'd done it many years ago.
  13. The caveat to buying anything used - check the history! If it is genuine then the seller will give the serial number and you call the maker. If you are the seller, release the machine on cleared funds only - never before! Could be a secure lock up site, as for spelling, I've seen some atrocious spelling on here as well as ebay. We are not of us well educated, erudite and well informed. I think I know the person and he has just upgraded to a newer "used" machine.

    what sprocket?

    Chain pitch is different.
  15. Hey Mick, Sorry to hear of your news. My Uncle has dementia and it can be very upsetting for everyone close to him. There are good days and a bad days when patience and fortitude are the order of the day. David can sometimes recognise that he has said something wrong and he can get upset or frustrated over that. Sometimes we humour him and go along with it and other times we have to correct him. The power of attorney thing needs to be sorted and preparation for his (and you mum in laws) future need to be discussed as at some point care at home will not be possible. I have to say at this point that I have got upset seeing David go from a strong, vital and intelligent person into a weak, confused and often bewilded person - a shadow of his former self. You are going to have to be strong and supportive to all around you. Bets wishes.
  16. Chicken on christmas day and probably lamb on boxing day. Not really made my mind up to be sure. Depends what takes my fancy in Tesco on xmas eve! Could even be burgers!
  17. Nowt here in Leicestershire - yet! Very cold tho.
  18. only if you get through the snow:sneaky2: Give us a ring if you want a beer or fud whatever!
  19. That's why I wear Denim - for the man who doesn't have to try too hard!

    A winter tale

    Groan! Good one tho....
  21. Good riposte Tommer! I said riposte not ripoff!
  22. Makes you wonder how Vermeer are going to sell them?! Yoikes indeed! When it comes to securely strapping them down - I tend to put a "wrap" around the infeed and pull down gently (but securely) on the discharge. Or use one of the dedicated tipping trailers that GreenMech make for their range. I agree with a previous post - there doesn't seem to be a lot of weld and it could have benefited with a gusset going in as well. Quick job to repair tho.
