  1. BTrac died the death some years ago when there was a change in ownership. It is now called Vermeer UK Ltd.
  2. One cannot possibly comment on any of the projects that GreenMech may or maybe not be working on.
  3. What kind of budget has he? GreenMech do a 6" tractor powered and the CS100 can go on a tractor too. It just depends on budget and how much HP it has. Have a look at our web site.
  4. Class, pure class! Could watch that for hours, at least I understand what my 1st ex wife was going through when she ran with DD knockers!
  5. MST, the GreenMech and Kubota dealer for Devon ,South Somerset and West Dorset are having some more open days. 20th March, Hestercombe House near to Taunton, 21st March - West Point Show Ground at Exeter and 22nd at the River Dart Country Park within Dartmoor, close to Ashburton. I reckon Fern is doing the catering again so it is well worth the visit for that and seeing the GreenMech range of woodchippers with Julian Cullis in attendance. We will have a good range of gear for you to see and try as well as the other stuff that MST do!
  6. Henderson Grass Machinery, the GreenMech Dealer for Eastern Scotland are to hold an open day to showcase GreenMech woodchippers and rough terrain or bank mowers and scrub clearance kit at the Bonaly Outdoor Centre, 71 Bonaly Road, Edinburgh, EH13 0PB on Wednesday 28th March. Refreshments will be available on site. Contact Alastair from GreenMech on 07595 206036 or Alan White from Hendersons on 07793 589665 to let them now how much cooking is required!
  7. My Isuzu Rodeo was a GreenMech reps express for 264,000 miles with nowt worth moaning about in five years! I sold it for £3,250 + vat and it was off to Cyprus! What is the general concensus about the 4x4 CrewCabs to come from that manufacturing giant "The Great Wall", soon to be here from China. I had a look at there brochure and it looks like a copy of the Rodeo and Volkswagen but for 14k for the base spec and £16k for the SE spec. The rest of the cars from The Great Wall showed "styling clues" from a variety of makes and models currently available elsewhere!
  8. I gave mine a new bag and belt. At least the Hoover works better now!
  9. Sorry, but for a grand, you'd be better off burning. Hedge clippings and leaves etc, ain't good in a chipper unless you are 100% sure that the stuff is clean, otherwise your cutters will get blunted too quick.
  10. What is the spec/cost of a 75?
  11. Do not listen to them! Most blokes are follicaly challenged so they have not experienced long hair! What is it with the yoof of today anyway, I see many blokes who could have a full head of hair and the have their nut shaved! The tide is on the way out on my head now, so I cannot speak knowledgeably on long hair, it go to a supplier or helmets and get their advice. Dreads. How do they grow anyhow? Do they smell? Does it hurt your bonce sleeping on them, what does your Mom think to them?

I was talking to a girl in the pub tonight, she tells me she baths in detergent every night, I always thought she was a flash ****!

    Jokes???

I got caught having a piddle in the town baths tonight! Yeh, the lifeguard shouted so loud, I nearly fell in!
  14. To be honest, I would yack it out and take to a local engineering company, get them to quote for a copy. Be a lot cheaper than a new from from anywhere and safer than a knacked old thing which might now have an undersized shaft! or be bent etc. Good Luck, it is only steel!
  15. Quad chip blades are reasonably easy to change if you have any mechanical sense at all. It must be noted that, since we had a load of people asking about them using our disc blades instead of the square blades, quite a few machines are able to take either! As we have proved, round blades are less susceptible to damage and are cheaper too. The downside would appear that the chips are less regular, but who cares too much about that when the main job of a chipper is to reduce volume in a truck!
  16. Why do you need a new rotor? I think that you be lucky to find a good one, anywhere. If the shaft is damaged, get an engineering firm to make one and press it in, or make a copy for you. If that is too dear, buy a new chipper and that will come with warranty.
  17. I thought that Jase and Big Pete Nielson got to the bottom of it this morning!
  18. Outdoor Power Tools in Derby or Leicester have some talented mechanics.
  19. Try talking Mark at M&H Arb in Malvern or send him a PM, Predator Parts. I'm not sure what parts we keep anymore. I'll ask tomorrow.
  20. A blowoff valve is a safety valve which opens when a certain hydraulic pressure is reached. This ensures that your hydraulic system isn't over-pressured and seals etc popped! The usual valve comprises of a ball bearing being pushed against a seal by a spring. This spring compresses under pressure allowing the oil to go through another circuit within the valve bank - straight back to tank. The pressure of the spring is set up so that moves at a certain pressure, this setting is adjustable to account for the spring tension getting weak with age and over a period of time, your blowoff setting can reduce from say 3000psi to 2000psi. Wind it back up and voila! Bloody good pull once more!
  21. Billy is in Croyden so Ermin is a tad far for a key. Try nadgering the barrel as may be able to do it with a screw driver.
  22. Good job of editing!
  23. On a similar note, my Tv, broadband and phone are with Virgin. It started out at about £30 a month and ended up at £50! I rang them to ask if I still tied in and could I reduce it, the chap on the phone said that I wasn't tied in but I couldn't change the rate."fine" I said, "I'm swapping as soon as I can". A line manager was summoned and gave him the same speel, loyal customer for five years etc. He knocked 20% of it immediately! It does pay to shop and swap. I'm going to look at my energy bills next week too.
  24. Lovely, but did you see the the bin!?!
