Further to the above, this is what Mac Taylor, our Service Manager had to say.... 'EC150MT25D (Lister air cooled). The flywheels would be inter changeable but the shafts can be removed, replaced and re-balanced. EC150MT30D (Deutz air cooled), the shaft can be replaced but the 30D flywheel is not suitable for the 25D Hope this helps - we are always available for advise by telephone 01789 400044.'

The rotor can be re-shifted and balanced. This would be easier than building it back up and re-machining it. GreenMech offer the service to the dealer network and they could also organise the new bearings and I would also check the pump drive coupling and if the rotor is out , the shear bars too.

Hey Carlos, I cover the middle bit of the UK for GreenMech Sales but did own GreenMech chippers as a tree surgery company and worked with Mac in the service department when I first joined them. If the light is flashing red, it indicates that the circuit board is not receiving an input that the rotor is turning. Check the gap between the tip of the sensor and the lugs on the bearing locking collar. Gradually move the sensor inwards from about 6mm away until an indicator light appears in the window on the side of the sensor or the end if it is and older unit. (This assumes that you have first checked the wiring to the box, the male and female socket and the wires that go from the female into the putty). The indicator light on the sensor only lights up when it can measure a pulse, therefore letting you know that it is the correct distance from the lugs. Rotate the flywheel to check that the sensor is seeing the other lugs too. If the sensor is too far away, it cannot measure, if it is too close then it can measure twice thus giving a duff reading. Check also that the two dials inside the box are set at the correct number/letters for your machine as well. A label could be attached to the lid with that reference. If you are not getting an indicator light then replace the sensor for a new one - trial by substitution. Flashing red indicates no motion sensed. Solid red (pinkish) indicates motion but not fast enough Green indicates correct rotor speed. Hope this helps....

Saw this during their recent road trips, canny peice of kit which is loaded with features and could be very useful to some folk. It will be out during their next road trip in a little under 3 weeks. Base machine is £42k, add a flail head for £5k - how about a snow plough,blower, chipper grinder, trencher, auger blah blah blah!

Other dates include Huntingdon Racecourse, Shifnal and Warwick Castle, followed by somewhere in Wiltshire and in the Reading area. I'll add the dates and stuff early next week. I'll also put up a few pictures in the large equipment section when I have time at a pc. STM do a cool remote control mulcher which might be of use to someone who gets involved in bank work.

Oh, I surely do...Dean Richards had an incredible career at Leicester Tigers, and was a Traffic cop in his spare time too. He did well for England and has suffered his 3 year ban with dignity and will start a fresh for Newcastle now. I wish him well...The game suffered and people were punished nd the rules changed.

I'm a rugby fan and the actions from the winning and loosing supporters reaffirmed my dislike for many football players and supporters. Players, - over paid, over egoed, uneducated actors. Many supporters, - rude, uneducated, socially inadequate yobs! Or am I being somewhat sensitive about the finger waving (v) antics, the swearing, and taunting displayed on the box. I did not see anything like that when Leicester Tigers beat Scaracens......and you will not see it when Tigers meet Quins in the final either....

Urmmmm.... GreenMech Green!?! when I ran Barrowcliffs, the kit was Ford Radiant Red with green writing, that burnt an imprint on the retina, and when you blinked, you could read - D.J.BARROWCLIFF LTD TIMBER CONTRACTORS 01509 8618606 - you could not forget that! Go for it, it stands out and in my book, that counts.

I still feel that if you have to keep "resetting the infeed with the button", then you have a malfunction in the stop bar controls. IE, a micro switch or other sensor is being told to switch off the infeed rollers, and by pressing the button, you are telling them to start again. That solenoid valve (electric tap) may be a part of that system in that the 12v supply is interrupted by the stop bar mechanism and the button re-energizes it to regain flow!

I don't do many forums at all, but I was fairly disgusted by some of the pornographic comments, links, etc posted on a car forum! I'm no prude, but I cannot see the point of that in an open forum which can be viewed by all. Well done to the Moderators for keeping that lid on....and well done to the majority of members for abiding by the rules and keeping it sensible. I don't do the Facebook thing or twitter etc for that reason too. I'm not interested that "so and so" is walking his dog at dinner time or what "this persons" toilet habits are, or how drunk "This twit" got on saturday night! Am I odd or just too sensible?

If it keeps going to "stop" and you have to reset the "feed in" with the button. Then the first thing I would look to is the stop bar. It seems that that is the issue. It is activating too early or unnecessarily thus your need to press "feed in".

Rowan Bell at Thorne Engineers is a good bloke who knows his onions.... I would start to look in the magazines that cater old machinery lovers and tractors etc, you might be lucky and find such a think or set about building your own fan and shroud/housing...

090 "on cam". The exhaust can is smaller than on a 201! Echo CS4600 (?) twin cylinder went rather well but was thirsty, good noise too. Had two of those!

Thanks for the PM WoodyPaul, If that is the one I think it is, some damage to the machine did occur, it was a tracked machine and they used an anchor point above the ring gear to attach a rope and pull something. Not advisable... I think that we had a couple of locking pins seize when the transport lock has not been used, but the platform and ring is a solid piece of stuff!

I would be interested in the Quad story, that turntable doesn't bust easily. PM me the details please. Why did a local engineer "fix" it when the factory would have done it buckshee!

I'll ask the factory today what the story is. It could well be that Lister no longer supply the part....

Hey Rob, I wish you guys had a bit more time and a stack of brash to chuck through the QuadChip and the 1928.... chipping sticks is okay but gnarly brash is what is best at. Less snedding and more chipping! You guys struck me as a good bunch of blokes! Good to have met you all!
