    Jokes???

True Story! Dylan Hartley, rugby player for Northampton Saints and England and was in the Lions team until he recently got sent off in the league final against Leicester Tigers, was a guest speaker at a midlands club recently. The usual question and answer session was getting tedious and boring, with pompous questions about the politics of the sport, selections for the Lions tour, scrum down prceedure etc. A mates pal put his hand up, "Your question Sir?" Asked Dylan.... "Has your Mum ever caught you having a w4^€?"......needless to say the room dissolved into much laughter, there is no record of the reply!
  4. To all you young ones! The A453 was the main Birmingham to Nottingham road before the A42/M42 was built! Still no excuse to leave portable kit about. I always got my lads to bring stuff to the truck at snap time, then the tanks could be filled, filters cleaned and cord checked!
  5. A trade show is set up with one main objective but many peripheral gains. If the first doesn't happen, then, quite quickly, the others cease to happen too. Exhibitors are there to sell stuff. If nowt gets sold, then why would they pay to be there? No exhibitors means no visitors! Who wants to drive a distance to stand in a field. Of course, other factors do come into the equation like decent food, decent bogs, and some form of entertainment etc. But for suppliers like ourselves, where a stand costs a considerable amount to buy, stock, man, then remove - a return is necessary. Our "show" budget cannot stand everyshow, but on balance over the last few years, visitor numbers and the crucial types have declined rapidly! Joe Public doesn't buy woodchippers but they enjoyed the spectacle and the walk around the gardens and that doesn't pay for our time and effort. The management and marketing people need to decide what their objective is and make a concerted effort to achieve that instead of sitting back and hoping something happens. Is it a trade show to attract buyers of arb equipment to the suppliers, or is it a college revenue raiser, a spectacle for the local public?
  6. Only to an interview if they are the special "Lucky Oants".
  7. GreenMech will, once again, be at the forth coming Cornwall Show at Wadebridge from June 6th to June 8th. Julian Cullis, the area sales manager, will be on the Vincent Tractors stand with a representation of our range of macinery.

    Jokes???

The name of that well known Asian karaoke singer - Gerupta Singh The name of that Asian lesbian - Minge Eater Or that Irish lesbian - Gay Lick
  9. I was there on the stand of Bartram Mowers and it was damn cold on thursday! Met a few good people including Mike Watson of Coastal Trees and Paul, the father of Nick Perry, a manager at BTS. Paul is a great chap of the old school and has many a story to tell ....
  10. "Where do I stand?" Why is the 1st thing that is asked is "who do I blame?". My reaction would be to look for a loose wire, or fuel flow, then ring and ask, "scuse, my chipper has stopped all of a sudden, it has spark and fuel, may I bring it back.?" You are more likely to get a favourable rseponse using that method than foot stamping and finger poking!
  11. Sounds like the govenor springs/set up has become too active.
  12. As the title says. These were taken during the recent factory tour at the GreenMech Factory which was enjoyed by all present.
  13. Good on you all! Very hest wishes for the future!
  14. A "Dad/Son" project. Well done Sir! Hope it goes well for you.
  15. I'll re-phrase.... John purchased this at the Saltex show off of Tony Turner in 1993. Some years later, the engine died, and John parked her up. I would think that that was in the late 1990's. That could be 7 years of hard work before the engine failed. It was discovered in the barn by Alastair Thomson, the GreenMech rep for the north and Scotland after we advertised trying to find the oldest machine.... I'll be the first to admit that, compared to today's offerings, our early machines were "awkward", but, you cannot change history. At the time it was sold, this CM200MT45 was a good machine in a market place where you could buy an Exenco gravity fed machine or a Gibbs' WoodChuck. Or a QuickChip or Premier that was a third as much again to buy but did the same job. Nowadays, there are more importers, more dealers, better components and reduced prices and umpteen different models to choose from. H&SE regs have changed as have transport laws - history cannot. There are 4 makes of woodchipper that originate in England, only 3 "volume" suppliers and of them, only 1 true manufacturer. We are proud of manufacturing and proud to have a history that has involved the end users and evolved with changing market places. Look out for the next Factory Tour, we try to take our salesman's hats off and bang on about building machinery instead.
  16. This is the machine being pulled from the barn. I think that it was parked in 1998/99 and used up-to the point that the engine tried to get rid of some parts! She was still chipping when the engine rejected a con rod in fact!
  17. This is the 10th GreenMech ever made. Dragged out of a barn near Glasgow and sent back to GreenMech for restoration as part of our 20th Anniversary and 50 years of manufacturing on the same site by the Turner family. Erm... finger error - pictures to follow.
  18. GreenMech will have a CM220TMP on the stand of Chandlers Farm Equipment at the Rutland show which is Sunday 2nd June at Burley on the Hill. Chandlers will also have Kubota groundscare equipment and Massey tractors on the stand too.
  19. GreenMech, along with Golf and Turf Machinery, will have a stand at the Yorkshire Game Fair this bank holiday weekend. On the stand will be a CS100, a QuadChip and a SafeTrac 1928. Staff from Golf and Turf will include Chris Barnacle, Allan Gray and Glen Sawyer and Peter Bagguley from GreenMech will be there on the Sunday too.
  20. Thanks for the kind words Roger, we enjoy it too. I'll post some photos of the visit the previous day when I get chance. Their will be more factory tours in the near future too....
  21. Get On Kev! Top job! Hope it takes. Best of luck to you.
  22. I should have gotten to your stand at the Newark Show to see this machine but the rain prevented me!
