    Jokes???

I was in the pub with my girlfriend last night when she said, "Can I ask you a question?" "Sure, babe," I replied, stroking her hair. "What is it?" She said, "Why are you with me?" I said, "Because I love you." She said, "I know, but this is the ladies toilets and I'm trying to have a ****."
  2. The dash says, as low as 24mpg (per tank) towing heavy and hard and 33 light and easy on the peddle. I would have liked more but that may improve as it isn't bedded in yet.
  3. Good on her and welcome to the club! What will you call yours?
  4. Fit another engine if you can!

    Chippings

Ask at the Castle, it is owned\run by DCC and does have footpaths and public areas where they could find it useful.
  6. I'll look for the pictures I took later....
  7. Don't bother to bid! The safety bar is so wrong! As is the infeed! It doesn't comply with H&SE regs.....

    Jokes???

Ironically, when Pistorious woke up this morning, there was a burglar in his bathroom!
  9. Sorry Scrags, they did the 20k service. Oil for the engine is nearly 9 litres and that would have cost some.....must ask what their £ per hour is really too.... Happy enough to just chuck it at them too, local people and all that.
  10. Collected the car, they charged £277 inc vat which is good value. Tyres appear to have lost some 3mm in 20k miles which could mean that they should get to 60-70k. See how we go on!
  11. Just going to bump this back with a question or two. GreenMech have gone onto these for the reps tow tugs etc. Mine was an ex demo as we needed one short notice. '63 plate with 20k on it and while I find it comfortable and capable, I have a slight cough/hesitancy when using light throttle in 1st or 2nd, the "sooty oil" warning light came on about 2k ago and I feel the clutch action awful! The clutch is the most concerning as it is a dual mass jobby in there which will fail....The clutch action almost feels like something is going over center and bang the clutch is in! Another quirk seems to be that to use the bluetooth system, I have to have the radio on, what if I don't want to listen to the radio? Anyone got anything to add or comment about?
  12. Damn! Thought you meant Quad as in QuadChip!.....
  13. In a way, sad. End of an era, etc. But like Mr Bolam says, a money thing....free market economy and all that.

    Jokes???

I asked the girlfriend to smuggle some coke through the airport by stuffing it up her bum. How was I to know that I could buy another can once through check in!?!
  15. Gibsons Garden Machinery (Lancs) look like they may be the current Tunnisen dealers.
  16. You wouldn't be saying that if it were a 6R4! They went like stink which I suppose does come off of crap but this was for a 1st timer Ian, it would have done the lad for a bit but had too much rust on it and I had too little time! Chips next Friday? Sure it is your go too....
  17. From underneath? Is that a crack in the corner to the right of that roller bush?
  18. Go on! Post their contact details......that is a bargain!
  19. Am I correct in saying that it is made in the Czech republic by Laski?
  20. I recently sold a Metro car on fleabag, buyer won't even respond! It seems there are a fair amount of wasters and tossers about. Anyone got a clue what I should do - it was peanuts money..... Missus sold a 7" long sideboard, buyer rang and asked if we help her fit it into her Saab convertible!
  21. I'd get a GreenMech..... In the machinery forum, there is the odd thread on this subject.
  22. Do you think that maybe it was unhitched and left on the jockey wheel? If you were being watched, you only have to go around a bend and it is left unattended then the scum quickly appear and have it away! That happened to a mate 15 years ago.
  23. The knob is held on by a little pointed grub screw, it is possible that the knob is turning but the grub screw has cut its own ring around the threaded shaft. Find the grub screw and take it out, pull off the knob and replace it with two nuts which you tighten together. Then use a spanner to adjust flow.....
  24. Here you go John, this one went to someone in Germany. Take a standard 1928, add a bottom bar infeed chute, attach it to a turntable ring, drop it on a trailer! Bob is your Uncle and Fanny is your Aunt! As they say....
  25. Sometimes, doing a demo for for a sale would make a good sales video - but we never have a good cameraman on site or the site isn't very smart or the dress code or language isn't right..... I've done plenty of promotional videos and their "stop/start" production makes them hard to do. All factors can be variable which does mean that can be hard work. I started one for the 1928 Safetrac on a private railway, the weather to start was brilliant, but two hours in, the fog descended! It still made it to YouTube mind.....GreenMech UK.....
